Canidae hit it out of the park!
By Devonlover on Feb 18, 2021
My 11yr old Devon Rex was raised on Canidae grain free chicken and rice. They stopped making it around the time that he developed some stomach issues and we had to find something that didn't make the vomiting worse. He hated prescription food! I tried the new shredded chicken and carrots and he loves it! I think he thinks he is getting human food. He is no longer getting sick on a daily basis and is gaining weight again. This is a quality food for your cat!

Gel like substance, sometimes dried out
By Sarah on Jan 30, 2021
My cats like most of the other Candidae canned food, but this one has a strange consistency. It's packed in a gel instead of broth/gravy, and sometimes it's dried out and stiff. I don't blame them for not wanting to eat it! I stopped buying this flavor and threw out the rest of the case. I am disappointed because I'd rather have the cats eat more chicken and less fish. The sardine option also has a bit of a gel consistency, and seems generally gross, so I skip that one too. The cats like the chiken/shrimp, tuna/whitefish, and tuna/mackerel.

My cats took a hard pass
By AmyS on Feb 16, 2021
I was trying different foods with my girls and for some reason they did not like this one. It might be because it’s a little bit more sick even though it says it’s in broth. Seems kind of chunky to me. They like other flavors in this brand just not this particular one and it might depend on your cat whether he or she will eat it.

Real Foods Cats Love
By Marsy on Feb 16, 2021
I was surprised when I tried this brand and flavor of canned cat food! It's very close to a human meal of white meat chicken, carrots, potatoes and peas. I tried to buy it while it was still on sale (until 2/28) but the price went back up 2 1/2 wks. early?! Now it's too expensive for me to buy.

One of my cats loves this
By Ziggy on Aug 5, 2020
I have a rescued cat that has been one a dry food only diet. She didn't seem interested in any of the wet foods that my other rescue eats. I tried this because I had heard some good things about Canidae and she loves this and will only eat this for wet food, but my other cat is like some in other reviews, he won't eat it at all. Cats are just too finicky but I love them.

Great Wet Food

Actually looks and smells like "people" food. My pet loved it!

The cats eat it most of the time
By Catlover on Sep 7, 2020
It comes from Thailand and I didn't realize that when I ordered it. There is a very gelatinous component that is not always mixed up. I don't think I will purchase it again

Nope he didn't like
By Pumpkin on Jun 14, 2020
I expected it to look like the picture on the outside of the can. I opened it up and it was shredded chicken and carrots in what was like a gel substance instead of a broth. My cat is probably thee most finicky eater in the east coast but I always try high reviewed, high quality foods because he goes through phases of not wanting his usual brand of Wellness. He's only 2 but was bottle fed and hand fed so he's a spoiled brat. He smelled this and walked away.

Canidae cat food
By bermermom on May 1, 2020
My cat isc16 years old. She goes thru stages of loving her food then deciding she doesn't like it anymore. She usually stops eating it after I stock up on several cases so I end up donating a lot of cat food to the shelter. I decided to try this product, and she loves it for now. My only concern is that shipments now take a long time to arrive, so be sure to place orders at least 12 days in advance of running out.

My cat loves this!
By MilasMom on May 5, 2020
My one-year-old cat has food allergies/high sensitivity to fish and we have tried so many different foods and flavors. She goes absolutely crazy for the chicken & carrots more than any other food we have tried. I wasn't sure about the carrot flavor at first, but so glad I tried it!
