    This is a WINNER!!

By LuvPets on Apr 25, 2021

I have 4 cats with varying degrees of pickiness when it comes to food. I try to feed clean, healthy foods, but have unfortunately only been able to find a very slim number of foods they will all agree on.... This is a winner! Day after day, for weeks now they will come running for feeding time, and the bowls are always licked clean!! The sale price is a plus! Thank you Chewy for offering great deals with fast shipping, and a 100% satisfaction guarantee!!!

Super high quality but kitties didn't love it

By Carrie on Apr 23, 2021

I could tell when I opened the can that this was some REAL shredded chicken and carrots. It looks like chicken salad or human grade food. Of course my cats though were like, "nah, it's not smothered in gravy or cream so we don't want it." I tried to get them to eat it as-is, but they wouldn't. In the end, I mixed in some milk and cheese so they would actually eat it.

    Not a hit unfortunately

By AutumnSkye on Mar 28, 2021

My boy's regular food is out of stock. I was hoping that he might accept this one. I keep trying to mix a little in. He just doesn't like it. He's a cat. He hates change especially when it comes to his food. Unfortunately his brothers won't eat it either. I don't blame this on the food. I just chalk it up to the finickiness of cats!

Canidae hit it out of the park!

By Devonlover on Feb 18, 2021

My 11yr old Devon Rex was raised on Canidae grain free chicken and rice. They stopped making it around the time that he developed some stomach issues and we had to find something that didn't make the vomiting worse. He hated prescription food! I tried the new shredded chicken and carrots and he loves it! I think he thinks he is getting human food. He is no longer getting sick on a daily basis and is gaining weight again. This is a quality food for your cat!

6 out of 7 cats like this

By catlady on Apr 21, 2021

Cats seem to like this, something different in their rotation. Only one, she is a picky Siamese, does not care for this food. Seems to have a good amount of chicken in it, smells good.

Gel like substance, sometimes dried out

By Sarah on Jan 30, 2021

My cats like most of the other Candidae canned food, but this one has a strange consistency. It's packed in a gel instead of broth/gravy, and sometimes it's dried out and stiff. I don't blame them for not wanting to eat it! I stopped buying this flavor and threw out the rest of the case. I am disappointed because I'd rather have the cats eat more chicken and less fish. The sardine option also has a bit of a gel consistency, and seems generally gross, so I skip that one too. The cats like the chiken/shrimp, tuna/whitefish, and tuna/mackerel.

My cats took a hard pass

By AmyS on Feb 16, 2021

I was trying different foods with my girls and for some reason they did not like this one. It might be because it’s a little bit more sick even though it says it’s in broth. Seems kind of chunky to me. They like other flavors in this brand just not this particular one and it might depend on your cat whether he or she will eat it.

    Real Foods Cats Love

By Marsy on Feb 16, 2021

I was surprised when I tried this brand and flavor of canned cat food! It's very close to a human meal of white meat chicken, carrots, potatoes and peas. I tried to buy it while it was still on sale (until 2/28) but the price went back up 2 1/2 wks. early?! Now it's too expensive for me to buy.

    LOVE This food

By Krazycats on Mar 6, 2021

My cats and I LOVE this food. I bought 2 cases of it when it was on sale, but at full price we will have to find an alternative, or wait for another sale.
