I am VERY particular about the food I feed my cats and they get very little kibble. For several years, they have had none, but sometimes you just need to be able to leave some down when you are going to be late getting home, etc...I like Candiae foods, family owned & sourced here in the USA. They enjoy this food & I'm fairly happy with the ingredients... a little higher in carbs than I'd like and think sweet potatoes, etc are not appropriate, but overall a good product. Cats still need mostly wet food for their overall health, but a little kibble can fit into their diets. I would give 5 stars if it weren't for the sweet potatoes, peas, & reg. potatoes … more

    Not the best

My cats would not eat this food. I have a cat with IBS and the vet recommended Limited Ingredient food along with medications. I usually give them a small bowl each to nibble on during the day before they get their can food at night. They were always crying hungry when I got home. I usually give them a small bowl each to nibble on during the day before they get their can food at night. They were always crying hungry when I got home. Noticed the bowls were not touched. I had been feeding Duck and Potato but decided to switch to give them some fish. Ended up having to buy the Duck again. I will donate this to our city shelter. … more

    Great For My Two Cats!

    By on

This is the only food I feed my two cats. My male kitty has a sensitive tummy, and this food doesn't upset his digestive system like some of the others I have tried. My female kitty loves the food as well! Worth the money!

    Great product for allergies

    By on

My cat was scratching her neck and head until she bled. I tried so many different foods from a gourmet cat store - the most expensive they had. Nothing worked. I went through at least 10 different brands and types (wet and dry). This was the only food that finally stopped it. If you're struggling with problems with your cat, I would highly suggest this food.

Great for cats with poultry allergies

    By on

This food was a savior for my cat with poultry allergies. I couldn't figure out why he was having skin flare ups & I was buying the same brand of this product with all the various, salmon, chicken etc. because it seemed healthier. Once we hit the trout bag his skin improved immediately. I haven't seen anything else like this on the market. My boy thanks you!

    Great Cat Food

My cat is really picky, I tried several foods, she would eat them for a few days then turn her nose up at them, the Canidae Grain-Free Pure Stream with Trout is the only food that she likes.

My five cats really like this Trout dry food. They took to it immediately; and do not overeat, but enjoy it in small meals.

    Good quality product

My two cats love Canidae. The previous cat food, I had tried crumbled and my cats would not eat the crumbles. A lot of wasted food. This food holds it shape and the cats seem to really like it taste.

    Cat's really like this flavor/brand

    By on

Cat's are very happy with this flavor, I'm very happy with it's listed ingredients. They we're a bit 'meh' about the chicken flavor, but the trout blend they go crazy for. They are very enticed by the odor, and they are certainly satisfied.

    So happy!

This food has been an absolute game-changer for my cats health & well-being (and my sanity). Three years ago she was diagnosed with IBD and I went through a series of trying new food (hoping to avoid medicating her for life or having to use expensive prescription food). She's been on a raw poultry diet for most of that time, which completely cleared up her IBD, but eventually she developed a poultry allergy. She had horrible feline acne and was obsessively scratching and grooming. I was worried about taking her off of raw food (and had a very hard time finding a dry food without any chicken or other poultry). But had this recommended to me by a family member and figured I'd give it a try. This food has been an absolute game-changer for my cats health & well-being (and my sanity). Her coat is now gorgeous (she has a very small amount of dander, but is no longer itching or having other skin issues), she's energetic and playful. She eats a much smaller amount of this than she did of raw, which makes it far more affordable. Her IBD issues haven't flared up at all either. We're both VERY happy with this change. … more
