Canidae - Switch from Canidate Grain Free to Canidae Life Stages with Grains

    By LGRABO1 on Mar 9, 2019

I wanted to switch from "grain-free" for my two cats. However, I did want to stay with Canidae. I was fortunate to find this current product and slowly transferred over to the new formula. Both cats seem to be fine with it. All is well...so far...smile..

    Not for my cats

By Onko on Oct 22, 2020

Surprised that neither of my cats wants to eat this. I thought it was suppose to be a really good brand. Kibble is a little smaller than our usuals, which I think is good. Appears to be drier. First day, cats sniffed and said No. Second day, older cat tried one kibble, said No. Mix it with younger Surprised that neither of my cats wants to eat this. They just don't like it. … more

    Fairly happy

    By on

My cat seems to like this food. We recently had to switch because he stopped eating Canidae's Indoor Formula when they changed their bag (must have changed the formula, too). He lost a good deal of weight before I could get him this formula and he still occasionally shies away from it, but overall, he seems to be eating well again. Hope they don't change this formula as it is getting very difficult to find a brand made in the USA that seems reputable.

    coat suffered

My cats like this food the best out of all the Canidae kibble we've tried (we've tried pretty much all of them including the Pure grain free range). I'm judging how much they like it based of how quickly they eat/how little they turn their nose up. They do quite like it and the ingredients are ok, better than super market food but not the best dry food we've tried. That being said, when they eat this food their coat quality deteriorates SO much. Their usually shiny and so soft coats don't gleam as much and they feel pretty dull. I have 2 regular DSH cats (not that I'm a breed snob, I love them all) and 2 long hairs (a maine coon and a rag doll) and the change is immediately noticed in their coats My cats like this food the best out of all the Canidae kibble we've tried (we've tried pretty much all of them including the Pure grain free range). It is good quality and economical for the larger bag so I may keep it in their rotation since they like it but maybe mix it with something else. btw, if you don't already save your UPC's to participate in the Canidae buy 12 get 1 program. … more

Even the fussy cats like it

I have 4 different dry foods available at all times as all the cats prefer something different, however everyone seems to like this food. High quality and easy for the cats with sensitive stomachs to eat and keep down.
