Canidae - Switch from Canidate Grain Free to Canidae Life Stages with Grains

    By LGRABO1 on Mar 9, 2019

I wanted to switch from "grain-free" for my two cats. However, I did want to stay with Canidae. I was fortunate to find this current product and slowly transferred over to the new formula. Both cats seem to be fine with it. All is well...so far...smile..

    Not for my cats

By Onko on Oct 22, 2020

Surprised that neither of my cats wants to eat this. I thought it was suppose to be a really good brand. Kibble is a little smaller than our usuals, which I think is good. Appears to be drier. First day, cats sniffed and said No. Second day, older cat tried one kibble, said No. Mix it with younger Surprised that neither of my cats wants to eat this. Picky cat's say no

    By on

I have 16 cats 3 on prescription food and feeding them what they need is very expensive so I was hoping the ones without health problems would find this food appealing. Unfortunately the remaining 13 showed no interest in it. Evidently it's a matter of taste as my daughter's cat loves it. The ferals I feed didn't complain either.

    No go for my clan

    By on

I am sure it is a good food, it seemed very good, however my cats refused it, all 8 of them and the cats at work did not like it much. The opossum seems to love it so the opossum gives it a thumbs up. Sorry guys. It just wasn’t a winner.

Not one cat will eat this food !

    By on Top 500 Contributor

Waste of money. Just as well I guess because I learned that the magnesium % is 13% and that is too high to maintain good urinary tract health. More food for the blue jays.

    Best ingredients but, not tasty

    By on

I’m so bummed. After hours and days of researching cat food quality and ingredients, I was so excited to start feeding this to my guy. He eats a few bites and barely touches the rest. It’s been a few days and he’s not having it.

    I love my "Canidae"

    By on

I've been eating "Canidae" dry cat food since I was a kitten; I'm now a healthy (never had to go to the vet), slender, little 14 year old Gray Striped Tabby and very frisky for my age! Chewy.com saves my Mommy a lot of money ($5 per bag)! We love Chewy.com, it's the cat's Meow!! :")

    Fairly happy

    By on

My cat seems to like this food. We recently had to switch because he stopped eating Canidae's Indoor Formula when they changed their bag (must have changed the formula, too). He lost a good deal of weight before I could get him this formula and he still occasionally shies away from it, but overall, he seems to be eating well again. Hope they don't change this formula as it is getting very difficult to find a brand made in the USA that seems reputable.
