Canidae -- Great for food transitioning..

    By LGRABO1 on Aug 9, 2020

I needed to transition my 15+-year old cat from Regular Adult to Senior Food. Canidae's Life Stages (for my indoor senior cat) did the transition wonderfully. I believe it's due to the probiotics and antioxidants that enable you to fully transition within a day. I believe it's due to the probiotics and antioxidants that enable you to fully transition within a day. Stools were healthy and firm after first day of full feed on new Canidae food. And, my younger cat who is only around 7 years old enjoys the food also. It's a "win-win" situation... (cross my fingers!) … more

Three cats will not even touch it. Money just wasted

    By mjg317 on May 11, 2020

I bought this several months ago and have continued to try to get my cats to eat it. When I first gave it to them they would do without food all day rather than eat it. Since then I have tried putting a cup in a bag of food and they always leave it at the bottom of the bowl. Pieces were too big

I'm sure there are many cats that would like this food. My Diva won't eat it and I noticed that the kibble is a lot bigger than the Purina Naturals I was feeding her. Oh Well - worth a try.

    Missing Animal Attraction

    By on

The food is rich with healthy ingredients, amino acids and vitamins, but has little appeal to my cats. The smell is rather dull and round shape not appealing.

    Not 1 of 8

    By on

Not 1 of my 8 cats liked this food. They starved themselves until I got their old food back. 2 days. Figured I would try them on something a little less expensive. Didn't work. Although I liked the size of the food much better than their usual.

Will not buy this again. Cats hate it.

    By on

I switched from iams to this product for my inside cats...they will not eat this. will not order this again. The outside cats will not eat the other dry canidae cat food that ordered. even the ferals do not like this food. I will probably dump this in the woods for the birds or animals to eat. The canidae dog food is ok. i mix in a can with it, and my dog seems to like it. Not sure, tho if i will continue to order this.

    Cats say no!

    By on Top 250 Contributor

I bought this new food to try. It's great quality food. Too bad my cats aren't thrilled. Praying they'll eat it,and I won't be out of my money. It's not going as fast as it should, and with multiple cats it's hard to tell which is eating. Scary thing is if cats suddenly stop eating in as little as two days they can develop fatty liver. Their liver then shuts down. So, I'm pretty disappointed. So expensive to throw out. I bought a bag of California Natural too. I gave it for them to try and they loved it. :(
