Very small kibble
This didn't work well for my frenchie, the kibble is really tiny and he had problems with that but that was my fault in ordering it. I will try a different variety from Canidae because they make a good product.
2 bags and they are mostly crumbs
My 2 bags are mostly crumbs. Im used to the bottle of the bag containing crumbs but the ratio of crumbs to full kibble bits is crazy this bag
Bad condition of dog food
I received my last order of hard dog food and the whole back came in like powder. Al of it seems to be crushed.
BEWARE!!!!
I have been feeding this food to my dog for yrs & vet says dogs lab shows my 8 yr old Chihuahua bones are not healthy enough for her to have her dislocated knee cap surgery. My vet ask me what have you been feeding her, I said nothing but Canidae Dry dog food. He said I quote "Just because it cost a lot does not mean it is a good dog food, he said these big companies are spending all there money on marketing & not on what's in the product" he said there is no other health problem with this dog, this is not from poor breeding, this is from diet and diet alone. She has 4 labs that are very very low, and all point to poor bone health. All other blood work is normal. He has placed her in a prescription dog food. And we will have to wait for her bones to get healther before she can have her surgery. He also thinks her knee problem is more than likely caused from the unhealthy bones cause from her diet!!! She is on 2 different pain meds right now & has a soft cast on her leg. My dog is suffering right now because of this greedy dog food company!
Perfect Size
My little 8 lbs love this food, perfect size for his small mouth.
CRUMBS galore!
My dogs like this food but at least a third of it was crushed to fine crumbs! How does this even happen?! I do not feel this is a pleasant texture for dogs to eat. Got another bag of a totally different brand, and it was full of crumbs too. It all came in a box covered in powdery mold (the previous one had been like that as well) with a hole in it and the top about to come open, looking rumpled as if it had been very wet. After complaining I was told I could get 15% off the next order if I called and explained when I ordered - yeah that's nice, I'm sure they'll remember!
Great for picky/bad eater
My dog had never been a good eater before this food. With this food, the dog eats as soon as the food is down and sometimes jumps/dances for it!

Still surprised at how dependable the shipping/delivery is from Chewy’s. Two days! We chose to try Canidae on the recommendation from friends. I make his meal from scratch(chicken, or salmon, or ground Turkey with peas, carrots, spinach, green beans)after he was itching and constantly scratching. I only add a bit of the purchased food for bulk and added vitamins. He was still finicky and would leave the kibble behind or pick it out. My husband gave him some plain Canidae as a test and he actually ate it solo. We have our fingers crossed.
Good brand but doggies didn't eat as well.
Chewy had buy 1 get 1 free of canadae brand. I purchased 4# bag of salmon, 4# chicken flavor, 10# salmon canadae. Excited to try new brand. My rescues loved the salmon petite but they shyed away from 4#bag of chicken. I was surprised they didn't eat the chicken flavor so I donated to neighbor that had 2 dogs that loved the chicken flavor canadae. No foul no problem since buy 1 get 1 free offer. Appreciate chewy for guarantees plus buy 1 get 1 free offers for us customers to find out if our babies or rescues would eat different healthy brands.
