Perfectly pH-Balanced for Dogs

Perfectly pH-Balanced for Dogs

A dog's body—and urine—should be slightly alkaline, or above 7 on the pH scale. Canine Caviar uses herbs and carefully picked ingredients with a special processing procedure to make the proper alkaline diet for your pet. All of their foods are formulated to keep the pH between 7.1 and 7.4—the optimal range for a healthy dog.

Made for Protein Rotation

Made for Protein Rotation

Canine Caviar creates single-carb and single-protein formulas because they strongly believe in protein rotation. Just like a dog in the wild would eat whatever he could hunt each day, your dog should be getting the full amino acid profiles offered by different proteins. You can switch between bags with no transition time, so your pup gets all the benefits of each meat source.

Flash-Cooked to Lock in Nutrients

Canine Caviar uses a flash-cooking process that lasts only six seconds. This maintains the nutritional integrity and increases bioavailability, so your dog's body can easily absorb these valuable nutrients, vitamins and minerals. The raw dehydrated protein source gives you more meat or fish per bag of dry kibble.

  • Finally! Food that works for allergies!

    By on

Hi, our Akita has food allergies like crazy. He’s unable to eat all meats except fish and can’t have grains, carbs and sugars. This leave very few things that he can have. It’s been a nightmare trying to find food suitable for him. He was able to have Evo salmon and herring formula without too many issues but even with that we had to limit him to 1&1/2 cups a day (he’s supposed to have 4-5 cups for his size) and gave him fresh cooked fish in addition each day. Recently they stopped making Evo, leaving us back to square one. I contacted the team at Chewy customer service who are the best of the best!!!!! And they asked for a list of ingredients he can eat and gave me several suggestions. Canine Hi, our Akita has food allergies like crazy. No issues with skin! He doesn’t get that musky smell and skin issues he used to get with Evo. His coat looks healthier! It doesn’t smell like dead fish! We LOVE this food and so does our boy Ronin! It’s expensive but worth every penny! We are sold on this brand. Thanks Team Chewy!!! … more

We do rotation feeding through the different proteins available. This is our 1st time trying the fish, both of my dogs love it! Love their dog food, it's been great for my dogs sensitive stomach. Love the limited, high quality ingredients! It digests better than any other brand we've tried. *High quality ingredients *Easily digestible *My dogs LOVE all the flavors/proteins *Great for rotation feeding *Higher calorie content = less food needed *Has improved my dogs coat

I have a 12 yr old st bernard mix who has allergies to grains, poultry, potatoes, and sweet potatoes/yams. Most grain-free foods seem to include potatoes and/or sweet potatoes making it a bit of a challenge to find kibble. She also is picky and gets bored quickly, let alone at her age she needs lower protein. That said, this food is the only steady one she'll eat. She'll eat a few others, but mid-way thru a bag, she loses interest (even the venison flavor of this brand). I do believe in rotational feeding to ensure she gets a variety of nutrients and vitamins, so this brand and flavor is the in between for each rotation; as well if she tries something new and has a reaction, this is the "healing I have a 12 yr old st bernard mix who has allergies to grains, poultry, potatoes, and sweet potatoes/yams. • Good Food, Dogs love it.

This food is excellent and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it smells like fish as it should since it's a fish formula but I don't like that smell so I am changing to the duck with the same brand.

  • Great ingredients, dog will not eat

    By on

I loved the list of ingredients in this food and it smells really good like herbs. Unfortunately, my Westie is not interested in eating it at all. Maybe it’s too flowery for her, maybe the peppermint? Oh well, onto the next brand to try.

  • Canine Caviar has improved my dog's health

    By on

My dog is sensitive to many ingredients; chicken, turkey, beef, pork, lamb, all grains including rice, potato and sweet potato. Canine Caviar Wild Ocean is the closest dog food I have found to being the "perfect" food for Jake. His coat is beautiful and at 10 years old he acts much younger than his age. Since Jake has been on Canine Caviar, his ear infections and skin fungus have greatly decreased or been eliminated.

  • For those who do not want Canola Oil in their dog's food

    By on

My dog has been eating several varieties of Canine Caviar and has done well. This is the first time I have ordered Wild Ocean. Since I do not want to use Canola Oil in her food, I ordered this because the Canola Oil has been replaced by Wild Salmon Oil. Upon receipt, the bag, which has a good "Best Used By" date, had "Canola Oil" as the third ingredient. I called Chewy and was told that it should be "Wild Salmon Oil". The rep ordered a replacement with instructions to make sure it stated "Wild Salmon Oil". I just received the new bag, and you guessed it, Canola Oil again. No point in calling Chewy , so I called the Canine Caviar Co.
