Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

This product is great for it’s purpose. It’s purpose is to kill any fleas & larvae on the animal & provide relief from the ugly, blood sucking critters. I use it frequently. You cant give your dog a bath everyday. I just don’t have the time. But I do take the pup on a walk everyday which is important. We live in So Cal and everyday we come home from a walk, I will find at least 1 flea. This product is great. It starts working within 30-45 mins. I know when it starts to work cuz my dog starts to scratch and when you look, you will see flea trying to crawl off the dog but have already eaten the poison & they are dead! Ha! We also treat our house and outside to keep the flea population down. This is So Cal. We have fleas. Do your part to minimize the fleas & this pill will work. It you are purchasing this pill because you think it will kill the fleas and you wont have to do anything else, don’t waste your money. NO product will keep fleas 100% away. They live in the dirt that our beautiful grass grows in. And when we water the grass, out come the fleas. Like I said, this product is good in combination of treating your front & back yards & if you have carpet in your house, you need to vacuum. Regularly. As previously mentioned, we do all the work to keep fleas away bit if you take your pup on a walk, to the park or beach, etc, it is inevitable they will pick a few up here & there. Just do your due diligence and you will be fine & this product will work well. Hope this helps.
Capstar works very well for what it is: A TEMPORARY flea killer. It does immediately kill all the fleas on the animal, but to be effective to remove MOST fleas, requires one to wash and sterilize bedding, spray your house or yard inside, any furniture they get on regularly! My experience, is I use it again in 3 days, to kill newly hatched eggs, respray, rewash. Then again in a week. Same things, use the Capstar, wash bedding, spray house yard and furniture. Generally that will get the worst of the fleas, in an immediate action.
I've been a fan of this product for its fast-acting nature. It works wonders on flea infestations and is specially effective for dogs weighing over 25 lbs. It's quite impressive how it kills adult fleas within just 4 hours. Plus, the tablets are easy to administer and can be given daily. Definitely a gamechanger in flea treatments!
I have 3 rescue pomeranians and frequently pet sit other dogs. My boys are on Nexguard, but we have noticed sometimes it wears off before the month is up. That coupled with interacting with multiple other dogs, we needed something between doses to be safe. This works great for the last few days before their next prescription
There are quite a few reasons why I love this flea treatment. For starters, it's fast acting- you'll see results in no time. Not just that, it's super easy to administer too. My pooch is a bit heavyset, so it was a relief to find a product that's suitable for dogs over 25 lbs. It's been a game changer for us!
I had the worst of fleas on my poor pup this year. I have hard wood floor. I flea bombed. I sweep. I give him flea baths. But nothing helps. I tried Frontline Plus as recommended by Chewy and it had ZERO effect on the fleas. I waited several months hoping that it might be that it needed to get in his system. When I called Chewy to complain about Frontline Plus, the customer service stated that Frontline Plus has been horrible for a lot of pet owners and she recommended Capstar. She said that it's been very effective against fleas. So I ordered. I didn't see any changes the first day. Second day, I noticed a change but after about three days, fleas started appearing on my pup again. Now, I'm combing out dozens of fleas several times a day so my pup doesn't suffer. I don't know why I keep taking the advice of Chewy when advices are non-effective. I feels very ripped off.
First, I'd like to say that, this intriguing product has been a game-changer in my household. It's like casting a magic spell that rids your furry pals of pesky fleas in no time! First, I'd like to say that the Capstar Flea Oral Treatment for Dogs exceeded my expectations. The most impressive feature of this product is how easy it is to administer.
