Help keep your pal pest-free with the Capstar Flea Tablets for Dogs. Each tablet contains an active ingredient called Nitenpyram that’s effective in eliminating fleas in dogs and puppies. The fast-acting formula starts working within 30 minutes and has been proven to be more than 90% effective in eliminating adult fleas within just hours. That means less itchiness and discomfort for your pooch, much faster—and without the mess and odors of a topical solution. Just give the tablet as directed, and let the formula do its work. Finally have relief from fleas!
By Juliespaz on Jan 15, 2021
As I sit here watching my 2 dogs and cat finally having respite from the plague of fleas, I am astounded! I was very worried about taking a chance on this product because of some of the scary reviews. It has only been 2 hours after giving my pets the pills, and they are all resting comfortably.. I, on the other hand have been busy watching the fleas on my tile floor by the hundreds die, slowly, but surely! Omg...how I wish I would have found this sooner! All the Frontline, Advatage, and Diamatacious Earth I have wasted money on in the past! My pets did go through about 1 hour of itching and agony, but nothing described like by the Trolls. Zero stars. Completely useless.

I have 40+ years experience keeping dogs, showing- and training dogs, so this is not my first rodeo. Haven't had a flea on our property or on our 4 dogs for over 7 years now. Some jerk dropped off a feral kitten at our house and it took us a month before we were able to trap it and get it into rescue. Meanwhile it brought with it a brutal flea infestation (and no telling what else). We restricted the dogs' access to the yard where the kitten had been, and have successfully treated the yard to kill the fleas there to prevent the dogs becoming re-infested. I then used this product as directed on the smallest of our 4 dogs, who weighs 22 lbs. It had absolutely ZERO EFFECT on the fleas. If anything, it seemed his itchiness increased for about 12 hours after taking it, but no reduction in fleas. On our other 3 dogs, who are all larger, I had some applications of another product already here, which was out-of-date by 3 years (since we've had no fleas in years and years), so I applied that and it worked right away, and with no side effects seen. That was K9 Advantix II. That is what I have ordered to replace this product, and while waiting for it to arrive the fleas continue to torment my littlest dog and reproduce. Thanks for nothing, Capstar. … more

great short term treatment
By chixnhens on Sep 4, 2020
Capstar works great to get rid of all fleas for one day. My dog gets topical Revolution once a month primarily for heart worm prevention and some flea prevention. However, I have noticed occasional fleas on him and I can use Capstar for this. My dog's stomach is so sensitive, I can't give him other oral flea medications without him vomiting. So, Capstar works well with no side effects, including vomiting.

I give it 3 stars for good reason
By Animallover2 on Sep 19, 2020
Yes, it works and I do recommend it, but watch your pet closely. In my personal opinion, this should be available by prescription only. It can cause some pretty serious side effects. Make sure you check with your veterinarian before use. My fur baby is okay, but I did think I would need to take her for an evaluation.

Did nothing at all!
By Robin on Aug 23, 2020
I have two small dogs who picked up fleas this summer. This was a first for them, so I immediately bought the Capstar, in addition to their monthly Advantix II because I was able to see the fleas, and they were scratching pretty bad. After the first dose, I was still able to see fleas. Gave another dose, and still saw fleas. I'm not giving another dose because of the side effects. I was truly hoping for better results.
