This gate does not swing closed.
If I mount this on a deck stairway, can I swing it all the way open (180 degrees) to get it out of the way when not in use?

This product is not recommend for use with stairways.
Will this gate remain FULLY open on its own against the wall when I want it out of the way, or would I need to add something else to hold it against the wall to keep it out of the way when I don’t need to use it?

This is an auto close gate and will not remain open unless the walk-through opening is held open or secured in some way.
Can the gate be removed from the mounted hardware when not in use?

The gate will come down easily but the latch and hinge would remain on the wall.
