Works great & easy to install.

We were looking for a gate to block off the stairs and were struggling to find something that not only would modify to a banister easily but that would stay open since we didn’t need it closed all the time. This one works great and looks great. Plus, because of the design, it installs high enough so it won’t ruin your baseboard. An, it has an added piece to allow only one way opening if you’d like. It’s also easy to open one-handed once you get used to it.

Best Bang for Your Buck

To be honest I did not have high hopes for a dog gate that was at this price range, but I was pleasantly surprised when I received it and saw its quality. All metal construction that is easily installed. Took 10 minutes to fully install it. Easy open latch and opens 180°

Great, sturdy gate

I bought this gate to keep my pups out of the kitchen and I'm very impressed with the quality. It's somewhat easy to install, very sturdy, and locks securely. My dogs are very large and have knocked other gates down, but this one holds fast. Definitely recommend it for large breed dogs!

Loving this

We first purchased this for our kitchen entry when we got our new puppy a few months ago. I wanted a gate that would fully open and without a bar across the bottom that I was having to step over all the time. We used the screws that came with it but we put it directly into the door frame. This has now been up for more than a month. It is holding up well to now our 5 month old 47 lb Shepherd. He does jump up it at times with his front legs up on the top of the gate and there has been no movement of the gate along the wall. Although it does rattle and make noise in the frame of the gate when he does this. The gate is not easy to open until you are used to how it works. I can now do it with one hand. I took one star of because of the small "button" you have to pull up on to unlatch it. It would be nice to have a larger area to pull up. Perhaps even a bar piece across that could lift the latch. For someone that doesn't have the strength in a single finger to lift this it would be difficult or like me with some arthritis in my hands. I would definitely give this a full 5 stars if the button to lift the latch had a better design. We have now ordered and installed a second one of these gates to replace one we had in another doorway that had a bar along the bottom and was held in by twisting dials to hold it up. No more worrying about the gate being knocked out of place.

Best Gate Yet!!!

This is my 3rd dog gate. It is by far the best ever! It is definitely worth the money! It opens 180 degrees. Best closure on any gate I've ever seen. I'm SUPER PLEASED WITH IT!!!!!

Four starts that could be five...

I purchased this steel gate to replace a wooden one I purchased previously from Chewy. My dog must have beaver in his mix because he chewed the wooden gate to pieces within two months. My dog also could move the wooden freestanding gate fairly easily (35 pound pooch) and escape! This steel gate corrected both challenges! First, my dog can not chew through the steel (thank God!) Second, because this gate is mounted to the wall my dog can not escape! Oh, he's tried, even to hop it, but no go...and now he's given up escaping. So why not five stars. The directions read worse than Ikea! If you are mounting into drywall corners (no studs') like I did, you will need anchors. Either set of provided screws themselves will pull out if that is all you use to secure the gate to the wall corners. The gate has a "self leveling screw. I did not use that feature. I leveled the gate with a magnetic level which worked much better. If the gate is for a pet only DO NOT use the box as recommended by the manufacture for spacing from the floor as it does not space correctly. WARNING: if you are using this gate for children space the gate from the floor according to your local codes!!!! All in all, well made gate. So far I am satisfied.
