Sturdy and handsome
I waited to purchase for a while, as I tried to hold out for a more eco-friendly option. Ultimately, I ended up. getting the medium coat in brown for my brindle pup. It's a great coat, and he doesn't mind it as he has over-the-head models. The canvas is study, and it likely would keep him warm down to single digits (he's ~40 lbs and LOVES snow). It's insulated with a poly fabric. The pockets are mostly decorative, though I shoved a few extra bags in them JIC. Only nit would be that the collar sometimes "pops" from his leash catching it, and the corduroy of the collar catches hair if it sheds. Nonetheless, would purchase again!
Size inclusivity
Don't bother with these coats if your dog weighs more than 70lbs. IDK whose chihuahua is in need of a Carhartt jacket but I do know of several large working breeds who could really use these but I guess this is for fashion and not actual working dogs.
Great coat, for the first two months!
Looks really nice, she gets compliments on it all the time. Fairly warm and weatherproof. Even when the outside gets wet, it's still dry underneath. Unfortunately the front velcro is basically worn out now :( I was hoping to use this coat for much longer.
Velcro does not work
The jacket material is awesome. Velcro sucks. Have had two jackets in 3 years with velcro failing on both. Did not wash either. Consider a non velcro option. Switching to a different brand, as this is not functional for my dogs activities.
Carhartt Coat Great Fit
Nicely made coat! Army Green is a nice subdued color. For those wondering about fit, I bought this for my Presa. The x-large is an absolute perfect fit for my boy. He has a 38" chest/27" neck, and the length is about 4" short of his tail. Great coverage on the sides too. If you have a Cane Corso, or other similar mastiff sized pupper, it's a great fit! I would have given 5 stars, but it's not made in America...I expected American made.
Misleading/Not What Was Advertised
No Leash hole (I had to make my own), flat & more like a rain coat with little insulation than like a Carhartt Dog coat meant for warmth AND protection against the weather. Fabric on outer part of coat completely different than advertised. I'm honestly wondering if it's a true Carhartt or if it's a knockoff. Only reason I didn't send it back is my dog needed something until I can get him a better coat.

Wonderful and very tough made. 100% rain proof too I saw a friend and he bought 2 of these for his lab's. My X-Lg and 76 lb Female Lab fits her to a "T". Wonderful and keeps her dry even in the snow.
Love this jacket
My 54lb pibble is wearing a size M and it fits perfectly. This is a nice lightweight coat for Northern California winter walks on particularly cold mornings and evenings when the sun is not out. He has no issues wearing and walking in it.
Dog Chore Coat
Must really help keep my 7 month old lab warm, for during some low teens days, she would wait patiently for me to put it on her before going outside to do her business. Bought it for our walks this winter and for when it's sprinkling.
No leash attachment
Description says it has a leash attachment. It does not. Looking for a tailor to put a button hole on the back so I can use it. Very disappointed
