Carprofen is prescribed to relieve pain and inflammation caused by arthritis and other joint problems, so you can help your dog maintain her regular activity levels and quality of life. Carprofen may also help to reduce pain associated with surgeries and other painful conditions and works by limiting your dog's production of prostaglandins, which are substances that can trigger inflammation.
Proudly sourced directly from the manufacturer or their approved distributor. Guaranteed genuine and backed by the manufacturer.

Carprofen is indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis and for the control of postoperative pain associated with soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries in dogs.
Carprofen is tolerated well in the vast majority of dogs, and the risk for side effects occurring appears to be less than 1%. But rarely, serious side effects (stomach ulcers, liver, or kidney problems) and sometimes death have been reported.
Side effects that may be serious or indicate a serious problem:
If you see any of these signs, stop giving the drug and contact your veterinarian immediately.
No known drug interactions have been reported.
This class of drug may be associated with gastrointestinal, renal and hepatic toxicity. When nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs inhibit prostaglandins that cause inflammation they may also inhibit those prostaglandins which maintain normal homeostatic function. This may result in clinically significant disease in pets with the underlying or pre-existing disease more often than in healthy pets. The use of parenteral fluids during surgery should be considered to reduce the potential risk of renal complications when using nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs perioperatively.

Carprofen.

Carprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) medication that helps relieve the pain and inflammation that occurs with arthritis in dogs. It also helps bring relief from other joint problems and can help your pet to feel better after surgery. Carprofen is the generic alternative to Rimadyl, Novox, and Vetprofen.
Carprofen can be given once a day or it can be split into twice daily dosing. Your veterinarian will determine the dosage of medication and the frequency at which it should be given. Give this medication by mouth (orally). Gastrointestinal upset including vomiting and diarrhea may be minimized if Carprofen is given with food. Carprofen should be given at the lowest dose necessary to help your dog to feel better. You should never administer Carprofen to a pet other than the one for which it has been prescribed for.
Chemicals in the body called prostaglandins are reduced with Carprofen. Since prostaglandins trigger inflammation, minimizing them helps decrease inflammation and pain that occurs as a result of arthritis, surgery, and other joint conditions.
Symptoms of arthritis include stiffness, trouble walking, and difficulty rising. These symptoms can be relieved with Carprofen although this medication will not cure arthritis since there is no known cure for this chronic condition. Your dog should start to feel better although results vary in each individual. If you discontinue Carprofen you may notice your dogs symptoms returning.
Also available in flavored tablets and chewable tablets
I decided to try Carprofen instead of Rimadyl because of the price. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. My old girl has pretty bad arthritis. After 1 month on Carprofen she could barely walk. I switched her back to Rimadyl, and after only 1 day, she's a completely different dog. She was up this morning for a walk and ready to play ball this afternoon! For me, Rimadyl is worth the extra cost.
I usually have this filled with the veterinarian, but now that my dog is on carprofen daily, I decided to check Chewy. These works just as well as the brand name and cost half the price for twice as many. I have NOT had any issues with splitting the pills in half. They are scored and I snap them with my fingers instead of using a pill cutter. No cracking or falling apart like some reviewers said. Maybe they’re using a different manufacturer or it’s user error. These are great! Pop it inside a pill pocket or mix with easy cheese in the dog food and we’re golden. Definitely recommend to get your fur baby feeling better without a hassle or major expense.
Tilly is on the carprofen. Has been for a while. I usually get it from the vet. Decided to try chewy pharmacy. Tilly usually just eats it in her food no problem. Since the change she been spitting them out.
Instead of the orange oblong pill we’ve been receiving, this month it was a soft chalky white oblong pill. At least 10 of the pills arrived broken and crumbling. It makes it much harder to get my dog to take them. Please switch back to the orange!
My dog Max has been on these for about a year. I was originally buying these from another pharmacy. Switched to Chewy. Quickly filled and delivered. Much more affordable also.
Disappointed that after as many times this was refilled, this time you sent caplets instead of chewables which always sent before. Takes great pains to give her a caplet. The chewables, ske gladly took.
The process of bringing my dogs prescription to Chewy was easy and the pharmacy offered a personal touch, which was appreciated. Thank you!
The carprofen seems to be helping my elderly dog, and he has become more inclined to run and play. However, I ordered 60 pills and received 59. My advice is to always count the pills you receive.
This was so much easier than driving across town every month for my dog’s prescription plus much cheaper. This saves time and money. This medication helps my dog’s inflammation from arthritis.
Particularly helpful to be able to return food my pets do not like. Promos are important to me as I have many pets.
