Easy to cut - dog loves the flavor

I tried to update and/or add a follow up note to my previous review about the flavored carprofen, but system wouldn't let me send it. Wanted to thank Chewy for the wonderful customer service!! I had written a comment complaining that the flavored tablets crumbled when I tried to cut them in half. I was so surprised when I got a call from the pharmacy! They recommended trying the chewable carprofen instead, and sent me a replacement. These have deep score and are very easy to cut. I read comments complaining about the tablets being so large - but I just cut it into quarters, and that worked fine. Sadly a few days after I received the replacement, my little 18 year old guy suddenly just stopped eating and had to be put to sleep. It was his time, but he had a good long life and I was thankful to have him with me for so long. But for the few days I was able to give it to him, he ate the tablets out of my hand like it was a treat - even when he would hardly eat anything else. So they must taste really good!

They work great

These help my 12 year old, arthritic dog who has had double knee replacements. The 100mg ones are great and you can snap them in half with your hands. The lower doses crumble when you cut them so that’s a huge pain, but worth the savings over name brand IMO.

Great value

These pills saved my sweet pup a lot of pain and saved me a lot of money at the same time. They must have tasted great b/c they were the only pill Ellie would take from me without it being smothered in cream cheese. They were also easy for her 15-year-old teeth to grasp and chew. I am so grateful for Chewy and affordable, effective medication for my pups.

Chewables are too big

Not happy that I received chewables instead of the smaller version. My dog hates taking pills of any sort and he sniffs them out of meatballs & then won't eat the meatball. The chewables are too big to hide easily in the meatball. Do not send them eagain.

Reservations About Efficacy of This Med

So I had a time with the pharmacy to get this medication shipped out in reasonable time. Usually Chewy is so on top of shipments but this time I had to make multiple phone calls to kickstart the process that was faltered on by Chewy because of some glitch in their pharmacy prescription tracking system. All of this wasn’t helpful because I was worried if the medication would even work as it’s a generic version. When I finally did get it in, I was disappointed. My dog has arthritis. And I had hoped it would take more time to take effect but it seems to have begun to ramp up in pain for my doggy. It’s tough to bear to see him in pain, so the pharmacy glitch / mix-up / lot of effort now required on my part when the approval was in Chewy’s system the whole time really didn’t make it any easier. Long story short, the Carprofen is okay but not as great as Rimadyl. Tried to return but the pharmacy wants to make me jump through more hoops. This whole process has turned me off using the pharmacy altogether. Chewy still has other great services but this ain’t one of ‘em.

Great Stuff

My dog struggles with arthritis. Big, big dog. This product keeps him free of pain so he plays like a puppy again. Makes you feel good inside to be able to help them. Highly recommended.,

Darn picky dog

Okay, through no fault of your own we will probably be canceling this script with you. Our beagle is VERY picky and we cannot get him to eat the med. We have to hide and I mean “really hide” it in food but if he senses it at all it’s a no go. It’s just too much work and very stressful on Cooper. We’ll just have to go back to the one we got from our Vet- he likes the flavor and chews it right down. I just wish you guys carried that med at the same price or close anyway. What we use from our Vet is Carprofen(Rovera) 75mg Chew Tab for $34.80 for 30 tabs. It’s a square scorable tab. He likes the flavor bottom line. If you do carry this EXACT med (and flavor) and if there is any way you can match or beat this price please contact me. If you have any questions please contact me and also please let me know one way or another if this is doable. Thank you

Not the same as Rimadyl

I ordered this to replace Rimadyl my dog has been on for over a year - within 6 days or less she could hardly walk. I still had a few Rimadyl tablets left and gave them to her - within a day or so she was able to walk again and acted like the old Lilly. No one can convince me that there isn’t a correlation and that generic drugs don’t have different combinations of the same ingredients. Chewy won’t let me return or refund so disappointed in that as well - I’ve been a customer since way before these owners - my dog is 11.5 and I used them with my previous dog who died 14 years ago. Feeling no loyalty from Chewy.

Best stuff ever

It helped Mushu right away. She had been on the receiving end of a dog attack and has had trouble with her leg and hip. It was so good to see her “bunny hop” around the back yard! Mushu is an 8 yr old Border Collie. She even got up on the couch last night!!
