All 5 of my cats love it! The first time I used it, I thought that it doesn't look like something they would like...but, I was wrong!

Awful overpriced .....should be rated as a 0.

By Debra on Jul 19, 2020

Please don’t waste your hard earned money on this product. So overpriced for a small box of Gravy. Yes that’s it. No evidence of turkey whatsoever. And. Cats hate it. Tried to even mix it with their grain free organic dry food. No non no. It’s a shame companies try to sell awful products like Please don’t waste your hard earned money on this product. This started out a hit, but became boring

    By on Top 500 Contributor

When I opened the first carton, I was surprised how it looked like baby food. If you have a kitty that has lost their teeth, this would be a fantastic food for them. Anyway, I put around 1/4 carton in each of their plates to see if they liked it. Well, they loved it, and loved it the next day. The next time I fed it, a couple of days later, I gave them each 1/2 carton. That was too much in front of them I think, because they barely ate it. I will take it out of their rotation, but use it as another occasional food.

Not a hit with my senior cat

    By on

I picked this because my cat is older, has kidney disease, and likes to lick the gravy off her food. She did not like this. If you're wondering about the texture like I was, this is ground turkey bits in a semi-thin gravy soup. Maybe my girl just doesn't like turkey.

    Pickey Kitty LOVES IT!!

    By on

My sensitive stomach Siamese cat usually needs Rx cat food that costs big bucks otherwise she throws up. Decided to try this since it is natural, even human grade. Holy cow, it worked! I give her a little spoonful in the morning to start up her tummy, she laps it up and we're off for the day. No throwing up!!! Will be trying some of the other flavors, but the Turkey Stew is a hit!!

My senior cat won’t eat it

    By on

I bought this and chicken flavors. The shipping and packaging were good. The carton was easy to open and cleaned to be recycled. The only problem was my cat prefers to be in a hunger strike to protest and didn’t touch it for a bite. Chicken flavor was better that she would eat few and stopped. Will think to donate the rest to the shelters. Otherwise this looks good to kidney disease cats with low protein.

good quality but cats won't eat it

    By on

I gave a 3 star rating because I know the Caru quality to be good. However, not a single one of my 6 cats will eat this flavor. They like the Turkey/Salmon which has been out of stock for awhile. I took a chance on the plain Turkey because I was desperate for stew for 2 sick kitties.

    Happy Cat and Happy Guardian

    By on

My cat is having stomach issues and so we're trying this Turkey Stew by Caru. He hasn't been this excited aboout his food in a long time, and I'm happy because I'm feeding him quality, human-grade ingredients with nothing that I don't want. It's also high in moisture. The packaging is adorable and convenient. My holistic vet has recommended certain proteins: turkey, duck, rabbit, beef, and pork. I hope Caru comes out with other stew formulas for cats. I'm grateful to have found them. More human-grade foods, please!

Great for my cat with a sensitive stomach

    By on

One of my sweet cats has had some problems as she gets older keeping down her food. All checks out at the vet, so he thinks she might have developed some food sensitivities. I have been trying different foods in hopes of finding something good quality that she likes and can keep down. So far, this one is a hit! She loves it and it hasn't come back up yet. I wish it was cheaper, but since it is high quality, I guess you have to pay a premium. I like that it doesn't come in a can, but I have to cut the top off to get to the contents. I can't get the "push sides to open" to work for me. Know that it is a "stew" in that it is really soupy with some chunks of meat.
