  • Not quite a pate

    By on

I have been looking for a new food for my cats of various ages. I bought some samples of this a few weeks ago at a local store to test the product. All the cats loved it. When I ordered a case, I found that the word "pate" is now omitted from the label and the contents are a watery mush. The cats still eat it, although not quite as eagerly. I had seen comments about a change in the product dating all the way back to last summer, so I assumed that the product I bought in a store would be the newer version. I am a bit disappointed in the change, since the non-pate version is now harder to give in consistent portions, messier to work with, and somehow seems like less food in the can.

  • Big hit with my 3 ladies!

    By on

My 3 female cats love both the plain Chicken variety and the Chicken Liver formula. I chose Organix to remove carrageenan from their diet. The grain free formulas have great ingredients and is a healthier choice for them. Thankfully, they love their new dinner entree selections, so we are all happy now.

  • High Quality and my cats really like it!

    By on

Sometimes I just have to give my 2 senior cats that are on a diet something special besides a few Greenies. So once a week they each get a can replacing their usual Hill's Science Diet and they gobble this down like it's candy.

  • Please cat food I have found so far!!!! Thank you Organix!

    By on

Wonderful. Our two cats love it. Lick it up every time. One of my cats has a long long history of chronic constipation. With Castor & Pollux Organix Grain-Free Organic Chicken and Chicken Liver Recipe, she has regular bowel movements. In my search, I was shocked to see so many 'chicken' or 'turkey' cat foods with a high percentage of pig or cow. Cats would never eat a large mammal. The ingredients in this can is pure chicken. Yippeeeeee

  • I like it, my cat is okay with it

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

My adult cat isn't super wild about this, she doesn't go nuts and come running when the can pops, but she doesn't snub it either. It's just not stinky or potent enough. Purina acquired this company plus Merrick's, and between the two brands, their formula for this cat food is kind of "meh." For some, it might be too runny and soft, but I actually prefer cat food this way -- I even add extra water. At the end of the day, I still end up with a clean cat plate so *shrugs.* And it's grain free and carrageenan-free, which is always important.

  • Organic Chicken and Liver

    By on

My very finicky cat eats this pate style Chicken and Liver organic food. Her fur is shinier and more dense after 3rd month on this food. Highly recommend it.

It's great I found the exact brand Sophie prefers. She has snubbed any other food.

  • A bit runny

    By on

The food was a bit runny and when I looked up the ingredients it said it was new formula. The can I bought a Whole Foods a week before this order my cat swallowed, but this one he ate normally. I am uncertain if it was the new formula, but it had the same name. At least the chicken is chemical free.
