Tummy issues with this food
By Dianne on Oct 30, 2020
My dogs do well with mostly any type of food. I transitioned to this brand slowly, but it gives them tummy problems. (Extremely loose stool). The amount of liquid in the can makes it more like soup than normal canned dog food. Bought two cases. Donated remainder to a shelter. My dogs are tiny, hopefully the larger dogs in the shelter will tolerate it better.

Poor Quality, Water Not Gravy!
By ConcernedDogOwner on Jul 31, 2020
Fed our 2 dogs this for months. Cans had gravy, though they had cubes of compressed meat, not carved turkey as advertised. The last order of 5 cs was VERY Watery and made one of our dogs throw up two days in a row. They get sautéed white meat chicken with each meal also, and the sick dog was so sick that he refused his chicken, which he had never done before! Something in this food has changed for the worse. Will never order again!

Mydoglicksbowlclean

I add a couple of teaspoons to my dog’s dry food and my Australian cattle dog licks the bowl dry. She loves the gravy and the moisture it adds to her food.

Dented and spoiled food
By Food on Mar 9, 2020
Last time I got this food it was dented up. 4 of the cans I had to throw away because the kids had somehow been opened. The gravy wasn’t in the cans and the food smelled bad. The first case I was mailed I had to dispose of them chewy sent another case at no charge but rhe 4 cans had to be thrown out.

Good quality - organic, but content per can is inconsistent
By Dyoga on Oct 1, 2019 Top 1000 Contributor
This is not new - every few cases, we get cans that are totally dried out - no liquid, almost freeze dried looking along with cans that contain mostly liquid. I have spoken with the company and they can't explain it. There are so few organic foods, I wish this company had better consistency. Still, will probably keep ordering to stay organic.

Good for him
By SheKay on May 18, 2019
Besides my 14 year old rat terrier/beagle loving this food, his coat appearance improved. Feed your dogs good wet food and you will see good results and an improvement in their general health.

Good stuff
By Cbbebe on Apr 9, 2019
I prefer the chunks-in-gravy style of this food rather than having to dig the gunk out of the cans of the other style of canned food. My black lab mix seems to like it - and we have been on quite the food saga. I like that it’s organic.

Half Filled Cans
By Amanda on May 13, 2019
I purchased a case of this product and 3 cans were half filled with mainly gravy. Seeing as this is not a cheap product, I will be switching.

Not Liked Very Well
By Paddy on Jan 30, 2019
I have 2 little Dogs that are soooo happy at dinner times, they are happy looking forward to being fed but, when I tried feeding them this food, on several occasions, what little they ate of it gave them very loose bowls or they threw it up. It's suppose to be a better choice food but, I can't feed it. Sorry because, I really like Castor & Pollux.

Gave Our Dog His Health Back
By cwcomstock on Dec 20, 2018
Our dog has a permanent prescription to ID dog food (2 different brands). He would still get very sick every 2-3 months! We have also tried several brands sensitive stomach and limited ingredient food. Our dog got still got sick every 2-3 months on those as well. We went through this craziness for over 3 years. After feeding him Butcher and Bushel for the past year, he hasn't gotten sick once! This dog food has saved us high vet bills and has given him back his life!
