Healthy food but some cans hold mostly liquid
By GabeFinn on Dec 25, 2020
This is a high quality cat food and my boys love it. Problem is there appears to be a quality control issue at this company because many of the cans hold more liquid than actual food. I've seen other comments to this effect in other reviews on-line so I'm not sure how much the company cares. I'd like to continue with this food but don't know if I will.

One cat likes it, the other won't touch it.
By Betsy35 on Aug 18, 2020
The cat who likes it (and generally prefers shredded to pate) will sometimes lick the bowl clean, while other times she'll lap up the sauce and leave most of the chunks. And there was one case that she would barely touch at all, but that sees to have been a fluke. Still, I never know for sure if she's going to eat it. I guess that's cats.

my cats and I are not fans
By Opie on Jun 29, 2020 Top 50 Contributor
My 7yo cat does not like this food, and it makes my 4 yo cat vomit. Also, when I received it in my package the pack of food was filthy and disgusting. Looked as though it had been sitting in storage for a VERY long time

Finicky girl approves over Hills, Wellness Core, Royal Canin
By Nedsue on Mar 18, 2020
My finicky girl Allie loves this. Was so surprised. Started with just a little and expected she would walk away with a little encouragement she came back and it's never been a question since.

It's The Cat's Meow!
By OCMateo on Oct 29, 2019
I recently wrote a positive four star review for the Castor & Pollux Shredded Chicken in Gravy product. Our feline, Antoine loves this product even more. He looks forward to meal time and cleans his bowl every time. I have not experienced the quality consistency issued noted by other customers. And, I hope I do not!

If your cat has alternative brands of wet food...go with those
By mrsport0316 on Aug 23, 2019
I have the most picky ragdoll cat and this is the only brand of wet food he loves ever since a kitten. Unfortunately, Caster & Pollux has done a poor job in consistency. The proportion of morsels to soup varies vastly from can to can... I think the whole organic idea is really nice and because my cat loves it I will keep buying, but if you have alternatives, I would not recommend this brand due to the consistency issue. I hope the manufacturer will improve the consistency...

I'm a cat, I should know.
By Moxie on May 19, 2019
Well, I hopped on my human's computer to order some wet food and well, things didn't go as planned. This is the same brand I'm used to, but the label is a bit tricky for these feline eyes. Gravy. This has gravy... sort of. It's more like a wet soup in which large firm chunks of chicken are tossed. Now, I love this brand, and have ordered the one I meant to order originally - the pate. So, why the two star rating? Labeling or color differences could really make this easier to know, at a glance, in the event you don't want gravy. Also, unlike the pate, these chunks are tough. I'm in the kitchen several times to finish dinner because I have to take a bite, work on it for a while, rest, and then come back for another bite. My human noticed this and has been trying to persuade me to chew over my plate, instead of under the dining table over the carpet. Would I buy this one again? Nope. The brand is great, but I'll skip the gravy and be sure to read the label next time, and only order the pate. - Moxie … more

Cat Loves It
By SS300 on Jun 26, 2019
I recently adopted an 11 month old kitten who was eating pate from a mid-level brand at the shelter. After doing my research, I realized it's best to go grain-free and as close to natural meat as possible for a cat's diet. This meets all of those needs and I feel good knowing I'm not feeding her any unnecessary by-products.

Never again
By Rhea on Aug 1, 2019
I bought a case after testing with a store-bought can. In the case from Chewy every can is partially full, mostly liqued and haghly variable with respect to number of morsels- with onecan only holding 6 bits! I question the quality control of the product and its manufacturer as a result. Huge waste and big disappointment.
