Feed 3 - 4 trays per 10 lbs of body weight per day. Amount of food your dog requires will depend on activity, age, environment, and breed. Feed at room temperature. Cover and refrigerate unused portion. Always provide access to clean fresh water.
Slowly transition your pet by mixing the new recipe with your dog or cat’s current recipe over the course of 5-7 days. Continuously increase the amount of the Castor & Pollux food while decreasing the amount in your dog or cat’s current diet. Once you’ve transitioned to a new recipe, you can rotate between our recipes without a transition period, unless your pet has a certain protein sensitivity.
Miscalculated how much food I needed for Chuck, the poodle but a simple call to Chewy just hours before shipping fixed it all. His tail, wagging; my mind, relieved.
I put a spoonful of this on my poodle's other food--kibble and chicken--so that she'll get some vegetables. She will usually eat it.
My dog loves this food. She looks for it everyday.
I find this to be the best small breed food. All my dogs love it and I like the packaging.
My 16 year old Puggle loves this food. I love the ingredients. It’s a perfect size for her evening meal.
I got the recommendation from a Chewy employee who has the same dog (Yorkie) and wanted something he'd gobble like a TV dog on a commercial. It didn't even get him to try it even after 4 days of trying.
It has great variety. I wish it was not encased in plastic but it is a hit every time and she digests it well.
Our dogs gobble this food down, and one is a picky eater. I have started to include food that has grains since our vet has said they need to have grains. This brand also meets my requirement of getting food that's not coming from China.
I put this in the favorite bowl and sat it in the chosen spot. Zoe ran over, sniffed, and ran away. I left it out to no avail. It was ignored. So, the next day I tried again. I put it in the favorite bowl and sat it in the same chosen spot. Again, Zoe ran over but stopped short, wiggled her nose, and backed up growling. I don't think Zoe is going to change her mind. The food looks great to me but I don't count! Please, Chewy, start selling this one container at a time instead of by the case. $20.00 is too big a loss!
My regularly ordered Tiny Feasts is with chicken but it was unavailable so I went with the same stew with turkey instead. Bonnie likes it fine, probably doesn't know the difference. When the chicken becomes available next time I'll go back to it but this substitution works fine. It would be nice if the size was 4oz. instead of 3.5oz. so she could have two meals from one tray but we manage by adding dry food to the second day's serving. She does like it and digests it well.
