As I have not sampled this food, I can only report on my cats reactions. When first offered to them, (I have 3, Griffin, Bixie and Moustache) they, as all cats do, carefully examined, and evaluated this new and different meal. Simply put, all three quickly and enthusiastically scarfed it all down, and looking as pitiful as they could, turned to me, pointed out the empty plates, and begged for more, which I happily complied. I do believe, this food has surged to the top of their most favorite culinary delights.
This is a favorite break from monotony for our four cats. They normally get Castor-Pollux Organix dry food (thought sadly it appears they are not making it anymore) and this is a twice amonth treat dinner. I hope Castor-Pollux is not going out of business (being that the dry food is not going to be made anymore and that is a staple) as it has been a good company with good healthy product.
My cat loves these! He waits for the wet food anytime the pantry opens!
This is not just organic with chelated vitamins which are the best type for cats and dogs to process and get nutrients from in this form, all three cats love it. I use to make my own fresh raw organic food. That was a household of different pets. Since then work gets in the way so I look for the best quality of processed foods. Imagine my surprise when I found that quality in a pouch and they liked it. We use this at every other or third meal so not to bore them.
The food is good but the packaging is terrible! You cant get all the food out easily and its TERRIBLE for the planet. At least there is a chance that cans will be recycled. Stop putting your food in this packaging! So annoying that they don't have the morsels in cans. Won't buy again.
Recommend! I give half a pouch to my 1.5 year old cat each morning. I like that there’s liquid in it to keep my kitty hydrated.
I try to feed my fur kids the best food I can find. I read ingredients list carefully . Pristine has great ingredients. Unfortunately my cat will not eat it. I tried mixing it with other cat food she likes , and she would still not eat Pristine. That being said she is 16 years old and an extremely picky eat in her golden years.
I have a 'throw-away' kitty, happens all the time on the farm. People dump cats on the farm. "Nakina" survived for about 6 mos, finally coming close enough to be fed ( coyotes, bobcats) Finicky about his food, finally found one he will always eat ( still eating rodents frequently)
My cat loves. The ingredients are very high quality.
Organic, grain free, priced right! Happy with this company’s consistent performance of quality food. And it’s AAFCO approved!
