Where are ingredients sourced from?

This food is made in the USA, with most of their ingredients sourced from the USA. However, they do outsource some ingredients from outside of the country. For instance, their lamb will come from New Zealand and their vitamins/minerals premix comes from either Canada or Germany depending on availability. The only ingredient sourced from China is their vitamin B12.
What are the Cans/containers made of? I see there are metal cans for larger dogs, and plastic containers for small dogs. Are they both BPA/lead-free? What type of plastic is the small container made of?

All of Castor & Pollux canned goods are BPA free. These containers are made of aluminized vinyl and are BPA free.
What would happen if I fed my cats with this product in the "for small breed" form ? Is this food good cats also ?

This food has not been tested for cats and this food is formulated for dogs. Castor & Pollux PRISTINE has cat food available on our site.

not good for my Baby

IT seems like all the right ingredients but when my Baby eats it all she does is scratch/itch for 24 hours!! what is in this?

Great food!

My 16 year old Schnoodle eats nothing but Castor and Pollux wet dog food. Just had blood work done at vet and vet couldn’t believe how good her lab results were!!!! I attribute it to great food!

New Favorite

This new food is a winner. I have purchased the Pristine and Tiny Treats varieties of Duck Stew, Turkey and Potato Stew and Beef Stew. Quincy loves them and his digestion is better as proven by his( pardon me) poop.. I add some veggies just to bulk it up and it satisfies him completely. I do find if a little expensive as compared to some other "GOOD" dinners. But, if it's good for him it's worth it.

First food no added treats needed

This is the first food for Foxie I have not had to add, salmon or hamburger, or turkey so she would eat it, finally the struggle is over.

Dogs like/My nose doesn't.

The dogs like this food, but they are not picky eaters. I tried and tried, but it smells so bad that I cannot buy it anymore. Will find another brand. I did like the individual containers.

Hey Harold, you like it!

I’ve found a food that my extremely picky boy loves! I’ve purchased the beef, chicken and lamb and he loves all of them. No more, supplemental “treats” to get him to eat. I also love it because I tend to overfeed, and the amount in each container is perfect for his size. The containers are recyclable so that’s a bonus as well. Highly recommend this product.

Excellent food, perfect for fussy dogs who need a qaulity diet

I have a very fussy and very ancient dog. He will only eat what he decides is worth it. He just loves this food. It looks to be excellent quality and I don't even have to persuade him to try it, so it must taste good too. Its great for me to be able to buy dog meat like this in good conscience.

Size of container is perfect

I don't like having an open can of dog food for very long in my refrigerator. This size gives me two servings in one day. I like to mix it with the kibble.
