On Castor & Pollux’s website, they’ve stated that this is safe for cats to eat. So I have been mixing this in with my cats’ wet food meals because I haven’t found a broth marketed towards cats that doesn’t have a ton of extra, unnecessary ingredients. Unfortunately, every time one cat eats this beef broth, she gets sick and throws up her food within 3-5 minutes of eating. The other cat isn’t phased by it. I can only think that my one cat has an issue with the beef, which isn’t typically in cat food, so it’s not something she’s ever had that I can recall. Both cats are happy with the turkey broth from this company (no puking), so I will keep using that one. Overall, I’m happy with the broth from this company and like that it doesn’t have apple cider vinegar, apple juice, carrot juice, pumpkin juice, cranberry juice, or any other unnecessary liquids added to it.
the set lasts us for a long time and my dog loves it :)
I first bought the Brutus brand beef bone broth and my dog's coat never looked better. It was so shiny and soft and great looking but that brand is so expensive for just the two containers so I figured I'd try the Castor and Pollux brand and see how that was. Well, first of all, the broth is very light in color, almost like water, and her coat has now lost it's sheen, and in fact, she now has dandruff! Definitely not as good a product as the Brutus bone both.
I have an older dog who is struggling to keep weight on. She's very uninterested in just dry food, with vets recommendations we've been altering her diet, wet food just ended up making her sick. When I found this I was at the end of my rope with what I could do to get her to eat. Finally she's excited about eating again and is putting on weight finally. I could not recommend this product enough.
We got this to mix with our dogs dehydrated meals instead of water ! It smells great the dogs loved it and the added benefits with thier meals have greatly improved thier lives ! 24 in a case last a long time for small dogs! Great as a treat roo if you freeze it !!!!
My dogs seemed uninterested in just "dry dog food". I was buying canned or wet packaged food as well as dry food so they would eat. I started using this and all 3 seem to like it. I can use one container multiple feedings since I just moisten the food a little. This should save me money in the long run.
