To get the most accurate size harness for your furry best friend, measure the girth of their chest, just behind the front legs, with a cloth tape measure. Pull the tape snug, but not tight. If you don't have a tape measure, you can also use a piece of string and measure it with a rigid ruler afterwards. Make sure there’s enough room for about two fingers between the harness and your pup’s chest.
Chest Girth: To make sure you purchase the right size harness for your canine companion, wrap the tape around the widest part of your dog’s torso, right behind the front legs. This is the most important part!
Lower Neck: Harnesses sit lower on the neck than collars, so measure from the lower part of the dog’s neck to make sure it's the right size for your pal.

Harness for spike

Very disappointed as the neck/opening is far too small. My dog is tiny and it is a struggle to put on and remove. Unable to use this item.

Far better quality than expected

The material on this was waaaay better quality than I expected for the same price that I got a crappy one at Walmart a couple years ago. The only thing that I was nervous about with this one is that the neck whole seems small compared to the body size. It fits fine but I had to make sure it wasn't going to choke my boy once it was on. Theres PLENTY of room in the belly with the adjustable strap.

Lightweight and color is nice and bright. I ordered a XS for my chihuahua and immediately knew it would be way too small (his current harness is actually a XXS)!

Not a fan of this harness

It fit my French bulldog fine - however I really hate the placement of the ring where you hook the leash. The others i have used are at the back/base, this one is in the middle and makes it awkward when she pulls.

I have an 8 week old mastiff who I want to train on a harness and I was iffy about the sizing bc she isn't full grown. I used a measuring tape to decide my best option and chose the size small. It fits her great and she looks really cute too lol

Way Too Small

I ordered an XS in preparation for my new puppy. I didn't have the puppy yet so I couldn't measure her chest, but the breeder told me she weighed 6 lbs so I thought she would need the smallest size. Turns out she wasn't even close to fitting in this vest! It looks like it would fit a guinea pig or a kitten, not a puppy.

I purchased the x-small size only to find its hard to remove from my dog. Goes on really easy, but getting over his head to remove it causes problems. If you have a x-small dog, get something else.

Stubborn Doggy Walk

Fit my pup well and seems to be of good quality. However if your dog is a stubborn walker like mine, this probably won't do the job when pulling them to walk forward. It just looks like it's going to slip off or the leash when pulling looks as if you're trying to pull a sweater over someone else's head. My dog being so small but strong I had to get him a step in harness

Harness clip

My pup is a leash pup. She wears a harness and I was looking for a mesh one to suit her. I don't want her with a collar and Leash because the collar and Leash destroys their trachea and larynx. I ordered this harness thinking it would be great but it's not. The clip on this harness is located in a place where when the dog pulls, it pulls on their throat. This is what I'm trying to avoid by keeping her in a harness. If you were to ever get a harness designed differently where the clip is more to the back I would order. I would not recommend this for anyone who has a leash dog versus an occasional leash. Everything else from chewy I love.
