Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.
Fill dry litter box with 1 inch of Casual Home Pine litter. Scoop the solid waste and sift through the sawdust daily. Shake the litter box side-by-side for more added freshness. Dispose used litter in the trash and refill if necessary.
To transition you cat to use Casual Home Pine litter: Fill the base of one litter box with the Casual Home Pine Litter. Add a layer of your old litter on top of the pine litter and do not mix. Allow your cat time to sift through the litter. Gradually reduce the amount of old litter and add more pine litter into the litter box day by day, adjusting when necessary. Continue this process repeatedly until the old litter mixture is fully replaced by the pine litter.

I wanted to like this litter, as it's natural and cost effective. But you can't scoop the poo out without also scooping a ton of unused pellets out. The size of the pellets are too big to fall through the slots/holes in a litter scooper. I felt like I was wasting most of the litter, because it's too hard to scoop the poop without pellets getting in the scooper. I also didn't think it controlled odor as well as other brands.
Worst litter pellets ever purchased and used. Threw the package away that was about 60% full. Only used one time which was one time way too many. The urine smell in my car's litter boxes was so bad that I had to empty everyone and clean out with both bleach and Odoban to relieve it of the smell. I have a large house and the entire basement, and first floor, had a very strong smell of urine. Maybe it works well for others, but it did not work well for my cats and my home.
It has a tendency to turn to sawdust in places, and makes clean up a bit messy. Will be trying another brand next time.
I discovered pine pellet litter at a cat shelter with multiple cats. I was impressed that with multiple cats there was no odor. So I tried it for myself. The cats have not all used this form of litter, but it is very efficient in that the wet litter turns into powder which is easily disposed of. It does not track or clump like clay litters.
I thought these being pellets meant they stay as pellets. They do not. They turn to stinky mush. Definitely would not purchase again.
Finally! This is the first pine litter I'm happy with since Nature's Miracle discontinued theirs - and I've tried them all. Feline Pine Platinum is decent, but this is better at covering up smells, not sticking to the bottom of the box, and not tracking. Hope they keep up the quality!
We use this in a Breeze litter box system and find the pine really does keep urine odor away. This brand is more expensive, but there is significantly less pine dust in the bottom of the bag and fewer broken pieces. I have found that this bag lasts longer than expected due to quality of the pellets. I also like the size of the bag as I don't want to be hefting heavy bags.
Works really nicely and good sized bags. Will keep using for sure.
