Changes in your cat’s diet should be made gradually to allow your cat to become accustomed to a new food. Substitute small amounts of the new food for the old food, gradually increasing the amount of the new food while decreasing the old food, over a period of 7 - 10 days. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets. Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily. For your pet’s health, see your veterinarian regularly.
My 15 year old absolutely loves this cat chow ... she gobbles it down in just a few minutes ... have to be careful how much I feed her - I think she would eat the whole bag in one day! LOL!!
Finally I got something they will love eating at my price range thankyou so much let's see if we make another ten years they love it.
I have a Lynx Point Siamese that suffered a broken hip and pelvis among other broken small bones in one paw. he is also a senior kitty and needs the glucosamine for his joints in hopes of keeping arthritis at bay for as long as possible. He is also missing a canine and needed a kibble that wasn't difficult for him to chew. while this is a hard kibble, it is not as hard as other brands and is much easier for him to crunch on. This food seems to give him what he needs as he ages with his issues so until his vet says otherwise, I will keep him on it. (I asked the vet about the food and her thoughts on it before changing him over as he also suffers from hyperthyroidism and his weight needs to be consistently watched.)
For what I'd pay on here I could get a 20 pound bag almost 10 dollars cheaper in store near me
My 12 year old cat didn't miss a beat when I put this out for him. He loves it! He can be picky, so this was a perfect food for him.
My cat loves this. She has a sensitive stomach so it is good at her age.
I finally decided to change to "senior" food for my older kitties, 17 and 9. They love the Senior Essentials! If I put regular Cat Chow and the Senior Essentials side by side, they go first always for the Senior Essentials.
My 11 year old cat loves this food! The small pieces seem easier for him to chew than the dry food I had been feeding him.
I have no problems with the food, but I dont like the way it is packaged. I feel like I have searched for the same food in a normal sized bag with negative results. The 4 little baby bags is just a waste of bags and if I can find 1 single bag that would be great. Other than that I love Chewy!!
I just adopted 2 older cats, aged 8 & 12. The shelter had been feeding them Cat Chow so I figured switching them to Cat Chow for senior cats would be an easy switch causing no stomach upsets and would be better for their ongoing health. They love the taste and had no stomach problems with the change,
