Maybe my cat is just too rough on it??
By CatPost on Nov 13, 2020
I really wanted this to work. I was replacing another sisal scratcher that we'd had for several years and was finally on its last legs. This one looked good, as the post is anchored toward to back of the base instead of the center, as those always seem to tip over when my cats scratch on them. Unfortunately, the rope completely unraveled within a week or two of using it, and I'm back to square one trying to find a decent replacement.

More durable than sisal, easy to put together, great value
By Dogmom on Sep 16, 2020
This has held up great to our 20 lb cat who previously enjoyed destroying our real leather sectional. After training him to scratch a post rather than our couch, this is the third scratching post we've gone through. The two before were sisal rope. Instead of fraying like sisal, this kind of flakes off in pieces. It is messier, but with regular vacuuming it is fine. It looks better over time than the sisal. It also seems to do a better job of shedding our cat's nails than the sisal. The spring toy falls out all the time, but he's not super interested in it. If you're looking purely for something for your cat to scratch, this is a a great buy.

useful in a pitch
By catdad on Jun 30, 2020
i got this for my kitty when we needed a scratching post in a place i couldn't find a pet store-- easy to put together, but cheap quality broke just as easily and doesn't stay flat due to the screw that holds the post to the cardboard base.

scratch post

My cats (I have 3) are not aggressive scratchers but do like having a post and my furniture appreciates it also, ha! I have only had this for a few days so I’m not sure if it will hold up which some of the other reviews claim it didn’t last long..but I wanted to give y’all a review that touched on other points also! Pro: •I really like how you change out the toy on the top of the post! Most others you have to get the clip chains and not everyone makes the same generic sizes. Versus this you easily just unscrew the top and add whatever you desire. For future uses when the current ball that comes with it needs to be replaced I plan on using some of their stick toys the handle has broken and just My cats (I have 3) are not aggressive scratchers but do like having a post and my furniture appreciates it also, ha! Con: •The extra spring toy did NOT have a precut hole! Which where you screw in the post did. I actually almost returned the product because I thought it was defective. •Placing the post where the base folds makes it a two person assembly! It’s an unnecessary difficulty imo. Simply putting the premade hole slightly to either side would eliminate having to balance the post, keeping the base from collapsing and screwing the post in all at the same time. … more

Excellent, Sturdy Scratcher
By Jean on Jun 11, 2020
I have 2 sibling cats. The male cat is a big boy...and this scratching post stands up to his use! It has saved my recliner! I will reorder for different locations as soon as it’s available again.

Very disappointed
By CrzyCatLdy on Jul 30, 2020
I received this product today and there is not single hole for me to attach scratch post or extra toy.

couldn't put it together
By JBrady on Jul 21, 2020
The base on mine didn't have the necessary holes in order to screw in the post or the toy, so basically useless.

A very fun toy
By Mousie on Apr 18, 2020
My cats were unsure of the toy at first, but my husband batted the attached ball around for a while and my younger cat decided that it looked like fun. We can't keep her away from it now. My only issue is that the instructions weren't as clear as they could have been so we didn't get it put together correctly. My cats don't care. They like it anyways.

Cats love it but
By Cathy on Apr 3, 2020
There no instructions. I do not know where the Pom Pom on the spring go. There no hole for it. I had to leave it off. My cats love it very much even with out the one piece. They scratch on it ever day. I would give 5 stars but since I can’t put all the pieces together due to a lack of instructions it will only get 2 stars

furniture protection

Bought two, one for each corner of the sofa. Works like a charm. The cord is not stought enough. The cord on one post is soon shredded. I will purchase again, soon.
