Directions not the best, but cat approved

By Lexi on Dec 3, 2021

The first step to screw the bottom bolt in, is a little confusing. The main issue I had was with the open ended bolts, the instructions refer to a “short thread” side and a “long thread” side and I guess I was just dumb and it confused me. The “short” side just has notches in it and the “long” side does not. Otherwise it was pretty easy to put together once I figured that out. Abel is a larger built cat and I’m thankful for the height of it because he looks like he gets a nice stretch while scratching. I’m worried he’s going to knock it over since it is quite slender and the base is not that big. He absolutely loves it already though and the stick up ball on the end is his favorite.

Cat loves it, but rope frays out quickly

By Goldilocks on Nov 13, 2021

My cat absolutely loves this scratcher, especially the fur ball on the bouncy spring that is attached to the base, which surprised me. However, the rope is very thin and frays out quickly, so be prepared to replace it when it disintegrates. The column comes in two pieces that screw together, so I switched out the halves and moved the ratty piece to the top after she shredded it. That at least bought more time for her to use it. I'm getting two more since she loves them and USES!!! them, despite the fact that the rope isn't the best. This item would be much improved if they'd make it using heavier rope.
