Description

There’s two ways to play with the Cat Dancer Compleat Cat Toy. First, it works as a traditional cat wand, with spring steel wire and rolled cardboard that makes an irresistible lure for frisky kitties. Just a few flicks of the wrist, and your cat will start chasing, leaping and running in circles! Or, you can mount it to the wall with the included adhesive paw, which allows your cat to engage independently—meaning when you’re away, the cat can still play!

    Fun fun fun!

    By on

My 20 pound former stray afraid of nothing kitty is totally scared of this! But my other two cats have had hours of fun with it so far! I’ve seen some reviews that say it doesn’t stay closed but I had no problem with that. The only thing is to be 100% sure that where you put it is really where you want it because it only sticks once. If you try and move it (like I did) it will not stick again. Overall great toy for hours of fun!

    Slightly Disappointed

    By on

My 2 cats love the original but could play with it for longer than I could hold on to it. This had good reviews so I bought 2 The problem I had was when cats get aggressive with it the wire pops out of the holder so I had to use blue painting tape to tape down across wall. It was also not easy to get wire to fit into holder without alot of bending it around so holder would not pop open. Will just stick with original.

Keeps my cat entertained all day!

    By on

Someone gave me a Cat Dancer toy for me cat. He loved it but I got tired of holding it and playing with him because he just wants to play with it all the time. I will catch him just dragging it around the house. So when I saw this mounted one, I knew I had to get it. It mounted firmly to the front door with Command Strips. We had to twist the wire a bit to get it to sit in the wall attachment but once we did that, we were good to go. We'll find our cat sitting on the mat, in front of the door, playing with this toy at all different times of the day. He loves it. Be sure, if you have a less active cat, to mount it a bit lower. My 12 year old cat likes to lay on the mat and bat the Cat Dancer around Someone gave me a Cat Dancer toy for me cat. So glad we bought this toy. … more

    The cats don’t approve

    By on

It doesn’t get played with unless I move it around for the cats to get interested but it will only hold their attention for a few minutes. I got it because they love the original cat dancer so I guess it’s back to the basics

    His new favorite toy

    By on

My cat loves the cat dancer and I bought the wall holder because I spend a lot of time at work and like giving him new toys to entertain him. To figure out how high I needed to put it I held it against the wall and moved it two inches above the point where he could barely reach it. I was concerned he'd manage to pull the whole thing off the wall, hes a big boy. I left him alone with it for 15 minutes and came back to him laying on the dancer. He pulled it out of the wall unit but the unit didnt move. I'm taking this as a good sign and ordering more wall holders. I'll probably try putting tape over it and seeing if that helps keep it up longer.

    They're finally playing with it!

    By on

I bought this over a year ago, because I wanted a toy my six rescues could amuse themselves with when I wasn't available. It was a huge dud. I tried mounting it everywhere there was room for it, with no luck. Yesterday I yanked it off the wall and threw it on the floor in frustration, but forgot to toss it in the trash. This morning I came into the living room to discover them dragging it around and chasing it! Velvet likes the end with the plastic paw the best, but everyone else likes the catnip-infused cardboard end. When it's time to replace it, I'll buy the $1.99 version, since mounting it doesn't work for me.

Cats were obsessed until it broke

My cats had sooo much fun with this but I had to tape down the opening because they kept ripping it out. And then eventually it all came unraveled so definitely doesn’t last I threw it out.

Great for those who work at home

    By on

When I work at home my cat is always demanding attention. I stick one of these on the wall in my office, now the cat is entertained and I can concentrate. Keeps ‘em occupied for hours. Great choice if you have a high energy creature.

This toy is great because I don’t have to move it. However after a few uses the cat tore it off the wall

    Every cat loves this thing!

All the foster cats I’ve had adore this basic thing. The wire bounces when they bat at it for independent play or you can take it off the wall to play with. I’ve found it works best if you bend the wire at the right angle in the wall mount and put and incline scratcher under it. If I leave the wire off the wall my foster failure cat (meaning I adopted her myself) likes to drag it around the house and play with it in different areas. Sometimes I have to hide it in a closet at night because I get woken up to her playing with it in my bedroom! Great toy for a very inexpensive price. Also this one won’t get lost under furniture or eaten by big dogs.
