Nutritional Info
Ingredients

Organic Hard Red Wheat Grass Seed, Organic Rye Seed, Organic Flax Seed, Organic Oat Seed, Organic Barley Seed.

Instructions

1) Add soil contents to planter

2) Add enough warm (not hot) water to fully moisten the soil (about 5 or 6 ounces)

3) After water absorbs, stir soil and allow to sit for about 10 minutes

4) Fluff soil and remove about 2-3 tbsp. soil and set aside.

5) Sprinkle seeds evenly over soil

6) Cover seeds with 1/8-inch soil and gently press soil over seeds

7) Place planter in a warm, semi dark area (just away from direct light, not in complete darkness as it may cause mold). NOTE: For faster results cover planter loosely with plastic wrap just until first sprouts appear (no longer than 1-2 days)

8) After sprouts appear or no more than two days, remove plastic wrap and move to a sunny location

9) Keep soil moist until grass reaches 3 inches. Check moisture daily. Once established: do not over water.

10) In about 4-7 days, once grass reaches about 4-5 inches it is ready to feed to your pet.

Feeding Instructions:

Feed to your pet as a healthy reward or snack. Adjust the serving size according to the size of your pet. If your pet is hesitant to eat the grass from the planter, you can try cutting some pieces up and putting it with their food, or some pets even prefer to eat the bits from the floor. You can spritz the grass with water or hide a treat in the grass to encourage feeding.

The cat grass is a big hit. I got 2 sets plus some extra seeds for the future. To start with, I followed the instructions carefully. The grass did sprout, though at first I thought it was a little sparse. However, it filled in by week 2 and is quite thick and lush for my kitties. I could never tell if I had watered it too much, so I came up with a trick to water the grass. (This is after all the grass was at least 4 to 5 inches tall) First, I watered so I could see the water on top of the dirt. Then I gently tipped the cat bowl on its side and slowly poured off the excess. I didn't lose dirt when I did it slowly. This method has worked for me. The next time I can tell it is getting drier, I repeat the process. So far the grass is green and lush. I move it around inside so it gets a few hours of sun each day. Kitty goes and finds it wherever I put it. The only negative is that one of my cats pulls up the grass, rather than cut it off. I have found that if I am careful, I can just push the roots back down into the bowl and it recovers and continues growing. I've never been able to grow cat grass inside before, so I'm glad I got it. So is one of my cats - she gives it a paws up and approves. The other cat just yawned when she saw the grass. … more

  • Great First Experience

    By on

My cats have been having tummy troubles so I ordered this and a Pet Greens cat grass to see if it would help. The mug is cute and the grass grew quickly and easily. My only issue with the mug is that it isn't ventilated, so you have to be careful not to overwater. My two boys were mostly uninterested, but my girl tore right into it! She definitely preferred the Cat Ladies grass blend. The Cat Ladies grass was also noticeably thicker and taller and the soil took water better. Will definitely be ordering refills.

  • Grows Fast If You Follow the Directions

    By on

This is a hit, my cat loves how it grew so fast. He was nibbling on it before it even filled all the way in or grew very tall, lol! I was careful to follow the directions, so glad it was easy to do. Will be replanting it after it wilts (fingers crossed)

Just got it in the mail and planted the seeds two days ago and it’s already growing !!!! Very excited! My cat loves eating cat grass ive always bought her the cat grass in a bag that grows out of the bag it comes in which looked kinda ugly having grass growing out of a bag on my windowsill but I dealt with it because my cat loved it. I was very excited when I saw this because it’s in a cute cat face flower pot love it !!!!! Now this looks cute sitting on my windowsill and my kitty’s happy 5 stars for sure !

Muppet enjoys chewing on the grass. On recommendation from my sister, I also snip some onto his food every night.

  • Easy to grow

    By on

I had no problems growing this grass and our kitten enjoyed eating it. I used part of the seeds and grew grass twice. They kept in the refrigerator. I like the grass is organic so he is not being fed chemicals.

  • First time purchaser

I should have planted ALL of the seeds. I was trying to conserve and wish I had not done that. I will use the rest of the seeds even tho my cat is not real interested in the grass.

  • Kids loved it!!!

    By on

I have 3 cats, 2 older and one about 5 months old. The two older ones dove right in and loved it! The little one is not to sure what to do about it yet lol. I was kinda skeptical about it cause im the type that can kill a cactus...but this was very easy to grow and came with all that was needed. Deff getting refills soon

  • 5 stars because the kit looks cool.

    By on

Well, I followed all instructions. I think I got 5 blades of grass. The kit is cool. Love the cat 'mug' that's a planter. I paid too much for this not to grow grass. I've purchased many bare basic kits for cats that did MUCH better. I did purchase additional grass refills - maybe the next one will do better. Crossed fingers.

  • I have 2 cats - one of them likes this

She chews on the grass all the time, but she never "eats" the grass. My other cat doesn't even bother with it.
