Our older cat isn't as active as he should be and gets constipated. He also has a really hard time passing or coughing up furballs. This is the best laxative/furball help I've found. It has Cod liver oil too which helps his health and he really likes it. I put a strip on my finger and he licks it off. Just wash hands good afterwards. I tried laxa-stat which he also ate just fine but I notice he hasn't used the box today. Hopefully later. It's a much thicker consistency than the Cat Lax is. It was out of stock so I tried the Laxa Stat. I'm buying the Cat Lax now that it's back in stock but if there were no other choice I guess the Laxa stat will work. Glad Cat Lax is back for our older Sr. Cat.
Over the 50 plus years I have had cats, I have tried many different cat hairball medications, in several different flavors. Cat Lax by Dechra is the best I have found. Besides the fact that it works, it is thicker than any of the others I have tried, making it far less messy and easier to administer to a resistant feline that would much rather hack up a hairball on the carpet than have some molasses-like substance scraped off on the roof of its mouth. Hint - If you offer a small amount of this to your kitten as a special treat before it is actually needed, by letting the kitten smell and lick a little bit off your finger, there is a pretty good chance your kitty will willingly consume this later on when it does become necessary.
This particular product has been unavailable for quite some time and my cat desperately needs it. I rejoiced when chewy informed me that it was back in stock. Chewy is always so good about letting me know when Stevie's supplies are available again. I'm very grateful for their fast shipping and excellent customer service. Chewy rocks!
Suffice it to say I'm with the multiple cat parents who are in desperate need of Cat lax. No one at Chewy's seems to know what's going on. I called the company myself because that's what I do,I call companies, and asked for an update. They said it will be after the first of the year, in January most likely. What I don't understand is if Chewy's doesn't know when it will be back in stock... then how do they know to raise the price from 5.99 to 8.99 already? Hmmm....
I’ve used this product for my zucchini who gets hair balls often, it’s helped tremendously. Although, from what I’m seeing after not being able to purchase it for months I’m finding it’s been discontinued. To those of you in a similar position- definitely look for an alternative, this one isn’t coming back :(
Cat loves the taste (hates everything else) and cuts down on hairballs. Also seems to help him recover after bout of vomiting. Glad it's back in stock!
My cat, Mouse, has mega colon, & Cat Lax is a very important part of our arsenal to help her poop her giant sized stools. However, Chewy has been out of it for quite a while. Has it been discontinued? What's up with it? Can you please let us pet parents, who depend on it for our cats, know some news of its return or replacement?! Thx!
I called the company last week that makes cat lax. They told me it was getting ready to be sent out to distributors. So hopefully we will see it soon.
my long haired cat does ot like to be brushed so we needed a supplement. wasnt sure at first i had to smush it into her paw fur the first few times she eventually stopped running away when it was time so i started putting it on top of one of her treats like icing and she eats it first now and likes it only disappointment is that its out of stock rn TY!!
I went to the company's website and contacted them asking when will they be restocking Chewy. As soon as I hear from them I post on this page their answer.
