Paddy is too smart
By SMTCatLover on Jan 6, 2021
Paddy is new to me; it's only been 6 months together. He's grown and siamese mix. VERY SKITTISH and smart! LOL He always knows when I get the ointment on my finger no matter that he doesn't see me do it. Nor do I keep the tube in one place. Nor do I try to get it on his paw when he's in the same place. I have been successful 2 times. I wish I could follow the directions as believe it or not, he seems to not be doing the dry hacking regularly; but I work fulltime so who knows.

Great product! Fewer hairballs and cat loves the taste
By FinickyFeline on Jan 7, 2021
Our medium-hair cat sheds constantly and routinely coughed up hairballs. It was a daily occurrence -- sometimes twice a day. She is also a very picky eater. We decided to try Cat Lax and it's been great for her. She licks it right up (while simultaneously ignoring her actual cat food) and her hairball rate has DRASTICALLY decreased. We're down to once every 10 - 14 days, instead of daily. We're so happy our little cat is feeling better and plan to make this a permanent part of her diet.

My Cat Hates it
By Jessie on Jan 6, 2021
Seems like this works really well for other people but unfortunately my cat hates it. The first time I tried it, she sniffed it, looked horrified and then shook her paw wildly to get it off. Now she runs away if she sees the tube and starts flicking her paw before I’ve even tried to put any on there.

“A little dab’ll do ya!”
By LexMVP on Jan 2, 2021
The old Brylcream catchphrase perfectly describes this product. Prior to using CatLax, my cats routinely spit up hair balls. A small amount in their breakfast every day has solved that problem for them and for me. I definitely recommend this effective, inexpensive and, apparently, tasty remedy for hairball control.

Two Paws Down!
By MrWhiskers2 on Jan 10, 2021
My two cats hate it! I tried, and tried, and tried, but they turn their noses up on this stuff, so two paws down. I am sticking with their favorite—Laxatone by Vetoquinol. They gobble this stuff up and even grab me with their paws wanting more.

Our cats love it
By Spookie on Jan 20, 2021
2 out of 3 of our cats love it. It has really helped our Spookie when he was getting up a hairball. I managed to catch it in my hand. And I am constantly combing them for this reason since they love to lick each other.

ITS WAS A HIT
By Betty on Jan 4, 2021
When I saw kitty having a bit of trouble going I went to your web site for ideas and found Cat Lax. I worried that she would not like it but I found it is such a hit she licks it right from the tube. It eased her problem in just 1 serving.

Works effectively
By Susan on Nov 28, 2020
I have used Cat Lax before as my vet sells it as well. What I like about it, over many over the counter cat laxatives, is it doesn't come flavored as tuna or salmon. My cats won't eat anything fish flavored. It is palatable to the cat but perhaps has somewhat of a molasses flavor? I do typically have to put it in a syringe and shoot into my cats' mouths as they won't lick it off their fur, but they are fine with it.

Ragamuffins X 2 say YES
By Betsy on Nov 4, 2020
Gruesome hairballs were not improving with daily brushing or Blue Buffalo hairball formula food plus the Greenies hairball treats. These Ragamuffin cats have long hair and were starting to look miserable with their hacking. I was tired of stepping in wet puddles with giant hair worms in the center--get the picture? So our vet recommended this and not one single hairball. Not only that, they push each other out of the way to try to get their turn because they think it tastes so good. They will stand a long time for brushing if I keep give them their doses. So cute. Their coats look glossier and their poops are not as hard either. My female had some constipation issues at times, and this helped Gruesome hairballs were not improving with daily brushing or Blue Buffalo hairball formula food plus the Greenies hairball treats. seems to work
By doggiemom on Dec 1, 2020
I got this for my kitty's constipation (caused by a canned food, which I reviewed but the review was never posted). In any case, this helped get things moving again. Giving it 4 stars because I had to force it into her mouth - she wanted nothing to do with it on her own. Once in her mouth, she swallowed it fine, and within a few hours she used her box. I still give it to her every few days because she was a miserable, uncomfortable kitty. Would definitely recommend for kitties that need a little help to get "going."
