Good, but very crunchy

These treats are very compact and crunchy. My cat won't eat them unless I crush them and rehydrate with water, which is fine since more water is good for her. It is just a little extra work for me. I see many complaints about powder being in many freeze dried treat bags, and this isn't a problem with these treats, but I have found that if I add water to the powder, my kitty will eat it without having to inhale the powder dust. She will not eat her regular raw food rehydrated, but rehydrated treats, she loves.

Too Crunchie or Elder Cats

These bits are very very hard and if you cat is elderly like mine and has a hard time chewing, this product is entirely too hard. I now have to soak them. The other Life Essentials Freeze Dried Salmon is soft and much better for cats with few teeth.

Extra crunchy!

My kitties love dried salmon & these are the best for getting them to take their time & crunch their treats instead of just inhaling them. Watch your cats initially or soften them in water if you have any concerns about choking. My kitties got the knack for these almost immediately but it depends what your cat is used to. High quality, just 100% salmon, so one of the healthiest treats you can give.
