How long does the ice pack stay cold for ?

The length of time this Ice Pack will stay cold depends on many different factors. In perfect conditions, this ice pack can stay cold for up to 48 hours. The C500 should always be used with its ice-packs unless the surrounding temperature is less than 5°C. (40°F.). To freeze the ice-packs before use, place in a freezer for at least 6 hours. When using your C500 feeder with wet food, ensure that the food comes from a freshly opened can/pack. If the weather is very warm, you are advised not to leave wet food for long periods and may prefer to serve dry food, which has better keeping qualities.

Cat Mate is a life saver

I love the Cat Mate. My cat has a delicate stomach and I used to have to feed her a little at a time four times a day. Now, I only have to prepare her food once a day. The ice packs keep it fresh. I keep several in the freezer so I can change them out each time I stock the Cat Mate.

ice packs faulty

These ice packs only stay cold for a little less than 2 hours. I set my feeders to 7am and 7pm for 2 days. Even after freezing the food the ice packs couldn't keep the food from spoiling.

Catmate 500

Works perfectly. Very happy. Wish it was sold with 4 ice packs. Couldn't buy just 2, had to buy 4- pack.

Replacement ice packs

Although I only wanted 2 more packs, I couldn't locate any on any sites so I settled on these. Better to have too many than too few, I suppose? These packs are just like the ones that came with the feeder so I am happy with the purchase.

Cat Mate ice packs

I have owned my Cat Mate which I use to feed my dog her canned food when I'm away for hours at a time because it needs to be chilled. Best invention ever It! It came with a set of two ice packs. This new order was for 2 more sets so I always have ice available to chill Lucy's food. Originally it was out of stock so I signed up to get email when it was back in stock. Once I was notified it was back in stock, I ordered 2 sets of ice packs and had the product a few days later! Now Lucy's food will stay safe to eat and always be chilled!
