Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 130 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed I have 5 rescues that all loved the "Prairie" formula, sadly none of the five like the new formula, "Meadowland". It's not easy finding a quality food that all five like, so I am not happy! September 17, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not the best choice for my kitty Both of my cats don't like Acana. They just don't eat it. They come to the bowl, smell it and go away. I've tried two flawors. This one and the one in a green bag. September 16, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by My cat is missing the old formula! I used to LOVE this brand, and my cat did as well. Unfortunately ever since I have tried out the new formula, both this type and the wild Atlantic (instead of Pacifica, which was the former favorite) she will no longer touch- and she is by no means a picky eater. Because of this I can't recommend this product. Two stars because I'm sure nutritionally it is still sound, but that means nothing if my cat won't eat it. Please bring back the old formulas!! Rated 4 out of 5 by Good ingredients, good mix My cats are not pleased with all the "healthy" foods I am trying to switch them to, but they are eating it, just not going at it like the ones they really like. September 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Loved by seven out of seven My crew never usually has that much positive reaction when I switch their food. Champion pet food seems like a good company from what I've found so far. They seem a little more on the level than a lot of companies. I had seen this food awhile back, before I started having problems with a few other "natural food brands." I was just a little weirded out at first about the freeze dried livers and whatnot, but I'm over that. As a matter of fact, I'm alternating this with the Champion brand Orijin food as well. Both the Acana and Orijin costs more, but it is better quality ingredients and it is prepared with more care, despite the fact that it is still technically kibble. You may pay more, but you should find them eating less and feeling better. Make sure you take into account the better quality food containing more calories, it's about 500 kcal cup, I believe. Since we got away from the other natural food, we rarely find "vomity surprises" now and Remi, our FIV cat, doesn't get mud butt nearly as much. December 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Superior kibble My guys doing fabulous on this! He's just a baby only 20 weeks old as of writing this. Any young and the pieces would probability be to large for him But He is taking to it with out a hitch. You just can't beat the quality. If your looking for a 5 star kibble..This is 2nd to best in my book. September 1, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Acana Meadowland for cats and kittens Since we started feeding this to our cats -ages 3 mos to 15 years old...their coats are so soft and silky. there has been a significant decrease in regurgitation . Our 15 year old stopped eating another brand. She had significant weight loss...down to 6 lbs from 10 and her coat was dry and falling out. Took her to the vet and all labs were normal. She looks soooo much better and seems happier...she even chases her tail again! All the other cats look so healthy too. Bright eyed and bushy tailed! I need to say that my daughter did an extensive research on all the brands on the market and compared them by ingredients and this was the one that was most affordable while providing our cats excellent nutrition. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Product, Excellent Value We adopted a 10 week old kitten who had regular loose stool. A prompt visit to the vet determined her to be underweight but otherwise healthy. After much research I discovered ACANA. Initially I thought the price to be very expensive, not TOO expensive. Two things: price should not influence what you feed your animal - unless it is so inexpensive that it couldn't possibly contain any nutritional value whatever. And, are they (the animals we love and cherish) not worth the cost of a carefully prepared balanced food? Oh and, one last thing about the cost, compared to the national brand from the national pet store ACANA is less expensive per pound. Ordered online and shipped to my door for no additional cost. By the second day she had normal (firm and consistent) stool. She also came out of her shell. She became more energetic and playful and now after two weeks of regular feedings of ACANA she is doubled in size and seems to be enjoying life. Try it, your pet will thank you. September 20, 2014
