  • The best of the Yellow Box Arm & Hammer Litters

    By on

I have tried all of the other Arm & Hammer Litters in the yellow box (e.g. Super Scoop, Double Duty) as well as other brands and UltraLast is by far the BEST! It is low dusting and does very good odor control. However, when I combine it with Arm & Hammer Clump & Seal products (red or green labels), the combinations are SUPERIOR odor control! When the local discount store quit carrying this one, the little bit more expensive store was another choice, BUT when I saw Chewy.com in a commercial and the price for the 26.3 pound box was cheaper than the 14 o19 lb. box even with delivery charge than any box store!!! I can go six to eight weeks between purchases, even with two litter boxes! • Best I have tried

    By on Top 250 Contributor

I've tried at least half a dozen or so different types of scoopable litter, though I haven't ever tried the very expensive types made with newspapers or pellets or microbeads. Overall, this is the best cat litter I have ever used. I took shameless advantage of the fact that it was on sale and bought a couple of boxes. If it's still on sale next month, I'll get more! (Otherwise it's back to Special Kitty) It isn't as cheap as what I normally use, but the sale price is low enough that I can justify the difference, since the quality is so much better. The clumps stay together well, it doesn't kick up a lot of dust, and it does keep the smell in check.

  • This brand sucks kitty poops

    By on

We own a cattery therefore we go through a lot of litter. When I order are usually order the minimum, of 10 units at a time. This particular brand does not stay clumped I would never buy it again for my Cattery know what I recommend it to anyone who has multiple cats and a very clean house.

  • Not the best for me

    By on

The product works like it is suppose to but the cat didn't like it and started peeing in different spots and the litter seemed to make the whole house small. This product is not for me but may be good for others.

  • The Best!

This litter is the best odor dampening litter we've tried yet! Instead of scooping every day I can wait, it has good clumping qualities so I'm sold on it.

  • Vs. Double Duty litter, Save Yourself Some Moolah

Let me tell you why I can't really recommend this litter. I have two litter boxes and two 12+ pound cats, one with a tummy issue, he has had diarrhea for almost two years despite all my many efforts (yes I am a responsible pet parent and have spend thousands with no answers). I need a good litter that will mask the horrible odor and do is job clumping. I used this Ultra Last litter in the upstairs box and A&H Double Duty in the downstairs, they use both equally. I use 3-4" in both 24"x24" boxes, I scoop every other day but I had been working extremely long hours and let it go for 3 days which rarely ever happens (don't judge lol). I use 3-4" in both 24"x24" boxes, I scoop every other day but I had been working extremely long hours and let it go for 3 days which rarely ever happens (don't judge lol). What I found was the Ultra Last is a clay mix and while it clumps #2 very well it leaves urine in clumps that remain wet. When you go to scoop them they fall apart in a million disgusting little pieces. I've been using this for weeks now and this is the case even when changed every other day. The Double Duty simply clumps like it should and they do not remain wet or fall apart. The Ultra Last litter does eliminate odor, I was surprised how well it did, until you scoop a clumped ball of urine, it stinks when they break apart. The Double Duty works almost as good for odor and you don't have to deal with wet balls of urine, there is only the slightest air of feline. Overall I think this Ultra Last is pricey and because it weighs more and is clay based, it costs more, it's based on weight when boxed. There is less Ultra Last litter in the box comparatively and it doesn't go as far, when scooped. The granuels are larger so in a 40lb box there is going to be less actual litter then a 40lb box of Double Duty, 40 lbs is 40 lbs but you get the picture. Double Duty does a fantastic job of curbing those smells, clumping and costs less. I cannot recommend Ultra Last unless you have the money, you want to spend more go for it but for my money, I'll use Double Duty and pass on the wet pee balls lol. Side note, when I ordered this they packaged my litter with my kitty treats, I found my treats under the box of litter when opening. Yup, they were smashed in.a million pieces, there is no separation. Chewy was quick to replace them but I wanted to note this, I won't be ordering litter from chewy anymore because by autoship always includes treats. … more

  • Best litter ever

    By on

I bought this litter by mistake once, and loved it!! It clumps well, is fairly dust free and there is MUCH LESS TRACKING, which has been a pet peeve of mine. It seems that the light weight litter is easily tracked and really scatters, even though it's convenient for me since I am elderly and very petite. I will stick with the ULTRA LAST and having it conveniently delivered to me is GREAT.
