I'll start off by saying that our cats love Weruva canned food and we will continue to feed Weruva food to them. Because I am trying to get them to eat something other than seafood, I mix a can of chicken-based canned food with the seafood based foods and they love that. BUT, I've noticed the pieces of shredded chicken sometimes get left behind. Knowing that they do enjoy eating chicken, I could only guess it was the fact the chicken was shredded into stringy pieces that was the deal-breaker. Sure enough, I found out that AvoDerm had chicken meals with small chunks of chicken so I gave it a try and they are eating it with gusto. I mix the AvoDerm chunky chicken into the seafood based foods and it is being eaten readily. I like the fact that the AvoDerm has lots of gravy for their moisture needs and they like the taste and texture. Win-Win! I'll continue to purchase AvoDerm chicken.

My cats like this food, but they really only eat the gravy. I don't mind because I want them to have the moisture in their diet & they have crunchies to eat as well.

Our cats get finicky and so far they haven't gotten tired of the Avoderm canned cat food. I also give my dog the AvoDerm weight control food, as was recommended by the Veterinarian.

we have a Tonk that adopted us about 10 years ago. we have no idea how old she is, but at 5 lbs, she needs to eat a lot. she is totally deaf, half blind and has very few teeth. we have been feeding her Avoderm Tuna and Crab and were using Proplan chicken and rice. unfortunately to eat the Proplan, she would have to bury her face in it, and ended up with a lot of dried food on her chin. my wife asked me to see of Avoderm had a chicken product, which they did, and we ordered it. she loves it and her chin is clean! everyone is happy!

I have a 15 year old Baby who has been on AvoDerm for a couple of years exclusively. His preference has been for the oilier, fish products, the "stinkier" the better, but he has recently acquired a taste for the Chicken chunks every couple of days for the night feedings. AvoDerm products are just the best for him as a Senior Cat. His coat is beautiful (thanks to Mom brushing if tangles), and he does require hydration injections a couple of times a month, but he looks and acts like a much younger cat.

Rated 2 out of 5 by sr01 My cats won't touch it
Appears to be a healthy and nutritious product (thus the 2 stars rating). One of my cats is rather finicky, the other will eat anything and everything -- and neither will eat this cat food. The finicky eater sniffed it, then made moves as if trying to bury it. Even if I mix it in with a food they both like, they still won't touch it. Guess the remainder of the case will go to the Humane Society.

Who knew my three (ages 13, 12, and 7) finicky eaters would eat chicken? I bought this entirely on a lark because they have never eaten chicken, but I thought I should try. They were all members of the clean plate club after their first can. The only drawback is that it has quite a bit of sauce, so I'm mixing it with another brand of tuna/chicken or they harass me for more food. They seem to like that combination. I'm happy to see them each chicken. Its a very nice product.
