  • Too watery

    By on

This isn't really a "gravy" cat food. It is very watery with cubes of chicken in it. My cats love the gravy foods but won't eat this at all. They do love AvoDerm Tuna but that is thicker and has more substance to it. I find this a waste of money.

  • A favorite for both cats.

    By on

Both my cats leave the bowl spotless. I just wish the cans were a little bit bigger.

  • Don't like

    By on

My cats do not like this food. All five stuck their noses up at this flavor. Disappointed since they love the last flavor that I purchased.

  • Too Runny!

    By on

this cat food is ok if you want half a can of gravy and a little bit of chicken. Too expensive as a treat because there really isn't much in there besides gravy. The cats love the gravy, but I won't be buying again.

  • Cats really like AvoDerm

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

My kitties really slurp this up. They especially like the gravy and the chicken chunks are second.

  • Tasty "Helpful" Food

    By on

First, both my cats like the food. But most important, one of my cats loves the food and will take a liquid antibiotic that I pour into the gravy of this food and finish up the antibiotic. (I wish I realized this earlier that all I had to do was give him the gravy of this one food with his medicine.) Also, very important, this cat sometimes gags as though there's something in his throat that won't go down. It looks like (the best answer I've found so far, anyway) that the chunks help push down or dissolve whatever is causing him to gag.

  • Cat with severe allegies

    By on

Great product! My cats like it, one only licks the gravy off, leaves all the meat. They are not crazy about it, but with a severely allergic cat I so appreciate the lack of fillers used and getting a true product. I recommend this for cats that really like hunks of real chicken. I am going to try other flavors, but am impressed with this company.

  • Sloppy messy food

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

This food is mainly runny brothy gravy with some chicken pieces suspended. Definitely more broth than solids :( It's also hard to open the can without slopping some on your hands - it's that runny. The cats like it, but given now little actual food is in there, I don't think it's worth the price.

  • Why carrageenan and vegetable oil? Both are bad.

    By on

I had heard that Avoderm contained avocados, which is a great idea. Upon reading the ingredient list I found carrageenan and vegetable oil, both are not at all good for cats. So sad to see a potentially good product severely compromised by cheap ingredients.

  • Another Avoderm Must for Cat Loyalists

    By on

The chicken comes in cat-mouth sized chunks. The sauce is super-thick and apparently very, very tasty. From the first carton, Avoderm's Chicken Chunks has become part of the cats' basic menu. Bowls of it are consistently licked clean. Avoderm, my cats thank you, as I do, too.
