Rated 5 out of 5 by Cat with severe allegies Great product! My cats like it, one only licks the gravy off, leaves all the meat. They are not crazy about it, but with a severely allergic cat I so appreciate the lack of fillers used and getting a true product. I recommend this for cats that really like hunks of real chicken. I am going to try other flavors, but am impressed with this company. January 5, 2017
Rated 5 out of 5 by Tasty "Helpful" Food First, both my cats like the food. But most important, one of my cats loves the food and will take a liquid antibiotic that I pour into the gravy of this food and finish up the antibiotic. (I wish I realized this earlier that all I had to do was give him the gravy of this one food with his medicine.) Also, very important, this cat sometimes gags as though there's something in his throat that won't go down. It looks like (the best answer I've found so far, anyway) that the chunks help push down or dissolve whatever is causing him to gag. December 16, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Sloppy messy food This food is mainly runny brothy gravy with some chicken pieces suspended. Definitely more broth than solids :( It's also hard to open the can without slopping some on your hands - it's that runny. The cats like it, but given now little actual food is in there, I don't think it's worth the price. November 26, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by they only like the gravy :-/ waaaaay to pricey for them not to eat the entire meal :-( November 13, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Why carrageenan and vegetable oil? Both are bad. I had heard that Avoderm contained avocados, which is a great idea. Upon reading the ingredient list I found carrageenan and vegetable oil, both are not at all good for cats. So sad to see a potentially good product severely compromised by cheap ingredients. Rated 5 out of 5 by Finally....chunks! I'll start off by saying that our cats love Weruva canned food and we will continue to feed Weruva food to them. Because I am trying to get them to eat something other than seafood, I mix a can of chicken-based canned food with the seafood based foods and they love that. BUT, I've noticed the pieces of shredded chicken sometimes get left behind. Knowing that they do enjoy eating chicken, I could only guess it was the fact the chicken was shredded into stringy pieces that was the deal-breaker. Sure enough, I found out that AvoDerm had chicken meals with small chunks of chicken so I gave it a try and they are eating it with gusto. I mix the AvoDerm chunky chicken into the seafood based foods and it is being eaten readily. I like the fact that the AvoDerm has lots of gravy for their moisture needs and they like the taste and texture. Win-Win! I'll continue to purchase AvoDerm chicken. July 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Another Avoderm Must for Cat Loyalists The chicken comes in cat-mouth sized chunks. The sauce is super-thick and apparently very, very tasty. From the first carton, Avoderm's Chicken Chunks has become part of the cats' basic menu. Bowls of it are consistently licked clean. Avoderm, my cats thank you, as I do, too. August 17, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by The very best!!! I first started using Avoderm when I bought my Snowshoe Siamese. The breeder told me that it was all she fed her cats and that it was well worth the money. That has been over twenty years ago. I want my babies to be healthy!!! August 20, 2016
