i love, love, this bowl. i have a cat who lives for me to put a fresh water in her bowl every day so she can play in it and eventually tip it over onto the floor. i admit its comical watching her efforts to tip over this new bowl.

We bought the 8 and 12 cup bowls, and while they are great in their practicality, the smell of the rubber on the bottom was quite strong. Hoping that will alleviate in time. Also, I noted all the reviews cautioning that the label/sticker placed in the middle of the bowl made the adhesive substance impossible to remove - VERY TRUE. It looked like double-sided tape, and was horrible. Finally removed all traces of the adhesive by using a bit of Baking Soda and a spray of isopropyl alcohol (we keep IPA in a spray bottle as opposed to using Raid brand or other toxic insect sprays). Using my fingertips, the grittiness of the baking soda dislodged the glue. Rinsed off well, and put to use right away. I appreciate the depth of the bowls. Can't speak to its durability as we've only begun to use it, and keep it stationary & elevated (placed atop a towel) for our retriever mix. I wanted to post this to share our removal method for the sticky label. Hope this is helpful to someone!

I was disappointed. I put it down on the kitchen floor & it didn't even try to "grip" as to not slide. The rubber portion is just too small/thin to be effective. I didn't even bother removing the sticker. It stands no chance with my dogs to not tip over so we haven't wasted our time trying to use it only to clean up a mess.
The previous stainless steel slip resistant bowls we've bought have thick rubber wrapping the whole bottom & about 1/3 of the way up the bowl on the side. You couldn't push or slide those bowls an inch if you wanted to, let alone tip them over (even with an overzealous canine tongue while eating or slurping up water). Perhaps they've spoiled me (& they cost more) but I've learned my lesson trying to get a deal & convenience so I headed to the store & bought another one of those. Unfortunately Chewy.com doesn't sell those or I would have gotten it through them (& I'm sure it would have even been at a better price through this site).

Rated 3 out of 5 by IrishSetter Not **TRUE** size
Pros: Bowl seems of good construction, easy to clean, labels peel off easily (not an issue as reported by other users)
Cons: Advertised size and capacity differ from actual measurements
The 8 cups bowl barely holds 6 cups provided it’s filled up to the rim.
Advertised size: 4 x 9 x 9 inches
Actual size: 2.5 x 8.25 x 8.25
That’s a big difference particularly if you have a large dog. Other than that the bowls seem totally fine.
You may need to order a size to be safe.
Chewy.com customer support has been excellent as always when it comes to solve order related issues.

The 4 cup bowl holds 2 cups of water or 2 cups of dry dog food. The manufacturer needs to correct the description and product pictures. The bowls look nothing like the picture. The bowls are shiny stainless with absolutely NO NON-SKID MATERIAL on the bottom. The picture appears to show a blue bottom on the bowl. There is a raised ring of the same stainless material on the edge which does not prevent them from sliding. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Don't waste your money.

In the picture it looks like the bowl is like a brownish color, but its a plain stainless steel bowl, also it says non skid bowl, but it still skids all over the floor, my dog has to put her paw in the center of the bowl to hold it still when she wants to lick the bowl clean.

Love these bowls. Nice and simple. Easy to clean. And the non-skid bottom helps to keep the bowl in one general area instead of across the entire room. Smaller than I expected but that's my underestimation. Definitely recommend these especially for others who feed raw like me and love to stick with stainless steel for cleanliness!

I was expecting a bowl that had some kind of rubber or cork attached to the bottom. This is an ordinary stainless bowl with nothing on the bottom to prevent the bowl from sliding all over the floor. Misleading!
