  • Good for an occasional meal

    By on Top 250 Contributor

My cat gets a meal with tuna once a week because fish isn't good for cats despite the stereotype that cats love fish and our thinking that they can have it all the time. He doesn't like pate or mushy textured food but he does like this line so I give him these pouches once in awhile to change up his diet.

  • This line of cat food is SOOOO GREAT

    By on

It's CRAZY how similar this line of food looks to canned fish that people consume. Like, I sometimes buy tinned sardines and the product that comes out of these pouches is a near exact dupe. Not gonna lie, I definitely sniffed it out of curiosity. Normally, cat food can have some pretttty off putting smells but this just smelled like fish. Like, regular fishy smell to expect from something you'll use for dinner. My cats eat part wet and part dry food, and I use this as a "sometimes" treat for the dry portion -- without fail, the plate is always cleaned up.

  • Hands down, my cats' favorite line of cat food!

    By on

My cats LOVE the b.f.f. line in all the flavors, and they like the pouches the best because of all the gravy. They are older (both 16 years old), and don't like large chunks of foods or pate, so this formula is perfect for them. It's hands down their favorite, and I've tried just about every brand out there, including some very expensive ones (Royal Canin and even the more expensive Weruva lines, Trulux and Cats in the Kitchen). These are very reasonably priced, grain free and free of carrageenan. Be careful with the b.f.f. canned variety as many contain carrageenan. The first 3 ingredients are protein and protein broth, and not grains or byproducts. • Tasty tasty!

Ralph is a 16 year old Maine Coon who mostly slurped the broth from wet food. BFF has meat he enjoys and finds easy to chew. He sits up when he knows it's time to eat and licks the bowl clean. I'm very thankful to have found it for him.

  • My cats love this favor

I have been looking for a cat food that has lots of gravy and little chunks of fish and I have finally found the perfect one! When I adopted my cat Miles when he was 5 years old at the animal shelter, I feed him the first few times and I noticed he had a hard time picking up the larger pieces of food and made quite a mess, so I started trying to find a cat food that had little to no chunks in it. When taking him to the vet the first time, my vet said he had worn down his bottom teeth. At first he didn't know why, but the second time I took Miles to the vet because he was biting and it looked like he was trying to get to fleas on his back. I always use scissors to cut the top off and I add a tablespoon of water to make extra gravy and to help scrape the sides with a spoon to get every last drop out. No waste! … more

  • Not for Us

    By on

Two kitties - a little picky but not terrible - will try most food most days. Neither one of them would even try this. Not sure why, the food is what I want for them in many ways, but it is not for them.

  • Disappointing

Neither of my cats would even take a single bite of this food. My cat would only eat this one Skipjack flavor from Great choice that has been discontinued. Been searching for a replacement with no luck.

  • Great for my CRF Kitties

    By on

All six of my very fussy crew love this food, and in particlular this flavor. It's an excellent alternative choice for my two seniors that are in early stage CRF as the phosphorus content is reasonably low at around 1% (and they refuse to eat the expensive prescription food). I wish I could afford to give it to all six, but for now the other four get a little spoon now and then as a treat. If you have a very finicky cat, try this food - believe me, I have tried them all and this one is the only food they ALL agree to eat. If I had one negative thing to say, it would be that it doesn't contain enough meat, but the gravy is a huge hit and a great moisture source.
