  • Excellent for my Himalayan

No thanks to the breeder, my wonderful seal lynx point male Himmie arrived with a parasite called giardia, causing diarrhea. Antibiotics eliminated the giardia, but the soft stool continued. Another antibiotic was given along with FortiFlora and his stools immediately normalized. Finally. He is now over one year old, but I am still careful not to aggravate his GI track. I have experimented with several foods, dry and canned, and find he wants to have both. I spoke with Blue Buffalo and they suggested Basics. After a period of testing, I find he is quite happy with the turkey and potato. Interestingly, since he is now completely healthy, he doesn't want as much of a serving twice a day as is recommended No thanks to the breeder, my wonderful seal lynx point male Himmie arrived with a parasite called giardia, causing diarrhea. • Awwww, he doesn't like this !

    By on

When I was giving Snickelfritz the Blue fish recipe, he loved it. But, in changing to the turkey recipe, he really doesn't like it. He knows that whatever I put down, though, is going to BE his meal. So, he eats, but only about half of it ! My OTHER younger cats end up polishing the plate off for him, so it is a treat for them, since they only eat dry food. I had to change back to the fish recipe for Snickelfritz, though.

  • No more Kitty throw up!!

    By on

Finally, our 9 year old cat, who has been plagued with throw up issues, is now eating normally. We tried a host of different cat foods, some much more expensive, and until now, all resulted in frequent throw up. Now we exclusively use Blue Basics Turkey - wet and dry - and so far (thank God!) no more throw up!!!

  • My cat won't eat it.

I tried this based on other reviewers and ordered the minimum amount; 24 cans. My cat won't touch it. I've tried mixing it with water based on one reviewer's suggestion and she still won't touch it. I'll probably donate 23 cans to a local shelter. An expensive mistake and my own fault. Next time I want to try a new brand I'll buy one can at the grocery store first.

  • My cat won't touch it, either!

Bought Duck, Turkey, and Fish flavors of this because it was Blue Buffalo brand thinking that it was good quality and my cat would love it since he loves pate of several other brands. All he would do is smell it then walk away. $75 blown! My fault. Should have tried a can or two first.

My kitties love this and it keeps them full because of the added potatoes. Plus it's a healthy option for indoor cats.

  • It's Top-Notch

    By on

My 4 cats like this, though I add a little water before I give it to them because it's a little pasty. I feel good about what I'm feeding them - top-notch brand!

  • Feline divas full approval

    By on

All my fur-babies love this food. I also like it because one of my feline divas has a sensitive tummy and she truly enjoy this "limited ingredient" recipe. I fully recommend this product.

  • Works great for cats with allergies

    By on

After adopting Cooper, we found out he has numerous allergies, and a thyroid condition. The food the vet prescribed was extremely expensive. I heard about Blue Buffalo and it works wonders for Cooper!
