Rated 4 out of 5 by CS1217 Best Natural Litter
We've used this litter for years. It generally clumps well, cuts down on odors, and is significantly less dusty than clay litter. There's no added scent in this formula, so fewer allergies for the cats and for us. We've tried many brands of litter (natural and traditional clay) and we always come back to this one. We have three cats who share one very large box and a 26lb bag lasts us about a month. The only time there's ever very noticeable odor is during the times when we push the limits on fully cleaning the box. We find that we can go 10-14 days between full changes (adding additional litter when it's low and doing spot cleans on the box itself as needed).
The only problem with this litter is that while it's significantly less dusty than other brands, the dust that it does wind up settling around the litter area is dark brown. It's easy enough to clean up and I have found no litter within this price range that is entirely dust free. (Only that the lighter colored dust is not as noticeable.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by rottenrot Best litter ever
I have used this litter for my two cats for some time. It is the best litter I have ever used. There is no litter that does not track, but this comes close. There is not dust, and it clumps better than any other litter I have ever used. I have one large litter box for my two cats, and they do fine with it. When I switched from my former litter to this, there were absolutely no problems. I would recommend this litter to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HorseMom BEST I HAVE USED
I have had kitties for all of my 60+ years. Have tried every litter on the market, and at one point even went to the fireplace store to get pine pellets. This is by far the best. I never smell cat pee, it clumps well and I have recommended it because of the low dust factor. I have a Ragdoll that weighs in at 20 lbs. I have to use a big storage box for his litter or he kicks it everywhere. Also use multi-cat because of his size. As for the brown, I bought a litter mat rug that is brown that he can wipe his feet on as he exits.

I like all cat folks are always on the look out for the best cat litter that ticks all the boxes. I had read good things about this product so gave it a try. The first thing is the dark brown color, but that didn't bother the cats (only me) they used it without complaints. BUT the dust was awful, dark brown dust everywhere. I tried it in the litter box in my white washroom - bad idea. There was a dark dust all around the litter box and little dark dusty paw prints on the tile floor. It doesn't clump well either clumps break up easily. This is a no go, even though the cats didn't have a problem with it, I did. My one cat has allergies and the dust didn't help that either.

We like it because it has very little smell and seems to cover the cat smells. Also the clumping is great making it easy to remove from box.

Rated 4 out of 5 by riysmommy Lousy odor control.. Great clumping!!!
So much better clumping than pine but odor control is horrible. Use automatic litter box so it picks up right away.. Purchased small alpine scent to mix to help with odor but I have these two bags of unscented to deal with.

Rated 3 out of 5 by TerriLH No dust, but no odor control
I bought this because I adopted 2 14 week old kittens, and wanted litter without dust or fake smell. It is totally dust free, even pouring it into a large plastic storage bin generated no dust. BUT, there is absolutely NO odor control. These two little kittens don't produce a lot of waste yet. I scoop daily, yet my house smells like a litter box when you walk in the front door (3 rooms away). And it's only been one week today. I really wanted this to be great litter, because I like Blue Buffalo. It's not. Clumps fine, but even in a large box, with charcoal filter, it smells. Sorry BB. Try again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Night Clumps well & Natural, will have to try other products
I was recommended this litter as I was trying to find an alternative to clay pebbles. I recently adopted a declawed cat and knew that they were recommended to have a different litter than 'normal' since it'd get stuck in their paws easier.
The price was a bit higher than I really wanted to pay as I have 4 cats and litter can go quickly. I definitely saw some improvement over clay. It absorbed what it needed to and it didn't seep down to the bottom of the litter pan like some clay litters will.
All of my cats used it and don't have any problems with it. However what I did notice is that there is an increased need to pull everything from a 4-5ft radius around the litter box. Maybe it is because they are used to highly scented additives that hide #or hinder# their ability to smell it. Or it can also be that the walnut doesn't hide/absorb the scent as much as glade-infused clay litter.
I'll definitely consider trying the other varieties of this litter to see if it changes at all between them.
