Description

Blue Buffalo Naturally Fresh Multi-Cat Quick-Clumping Cat Litter offers pet parents incredible odor control and long-lasting absorbency. It's so absorbent, it takes less litter to get the job done, which means each bag goes a lot farther and less is wasted. Made from a proprietary blend of the fibrous materials found in the walnut shell, this litter neutralizes litter box odors better than clay, pine and wheat. It produces harder clumps than pine, corn and wheat in as little as 15 minutes, making clean-up simple and mess-free. Unlike clay litters which throw off silica dust, Blue's Naturally Fresh is virtually dust-free so you and your cat can breathe easy. And because it doesn’t stick to your cat’s paws, it won’t be tracked throughout your house.

I can not stress the benefits of using this product over traditional cat litters with silica dust and chemicals. Its amazing that this simple product is so perfect for all pets with delicate respiratory systems not just cats. Is a environmentally friendly and safe pet product. Super awesome product! When you open the bag there is no odor to speak of. It pours out quickly and has a dark chocolate color and granules that remind you of granola cereal. NO Dust!!! Is fine texture and would not cause any problems with sensitive paws. Clumps nicely for easy waste removal. I received these goodies free of charge from Chewy.com in an exchange for my honest review but will happily purchase this I can not stress the benefits of using this product over traditional cat litters with silica dust and chemicals. • Didn't love it at first

When trying to switch to a new litter, it is always recommended that you mix your current litter with some of the new. When I did this, mixing Tidy Cats with the Blue Buffalo, the amount of dust from the combination of the two was three times what I had ever experienced. It was repulsive. I was convinced that people were crazy and the Blue Buffalo wasn't going to last long in my house. Well, once I changed the litter to all Blue Buffalo, I realized that somehow, the ridiculous dust was caused by the combination of the two litters. Don't ask me how, but I don't have the problem anymore. I have 5 cats. I have 4 boxes upstairs and one in the basement. In each room, I have one box of regular litter and the other is the Blue Buffalo. I'm still in the experimental stages to make sure none of the cats are offended by the new stuff and make the choice to not use a box at all. So far, there seems to be about equal usage of the new versus the old. As far as smell goes, I haven't had any problems. I think it does as well as the Tidy Cats, but without the offensive perfume smell. It clumps differently than the clay, but I don't think it's "worse", just different. I love how much lighter the BB is and it definitely doesn't track nearly as much as the clay. I'm happy with this stuff. … more

  • Dissapointing

    By on

I had high hopes for this. I like the idea of 'recycled' products for cat litter. While it is low dust and better for the environment than something like clay, I found it performs poorly. It doesn't clump well, mostly it breaks into tiny bits that can't be scooped, and worst of all the smell is NAUSEATING. This isn't the usual litterbox smell. The litter itself has an awful smell when it's been used at all. I might just be extra sensitive to it. But blech. It's enough to make me switch to something else.

  • It's Pretty Good

    By on

My cats have been using this for quite some time now, I am impressed with how it controls odors BUT it is NOT virtually Dust Free as the package claims. I have to constantly wipe down furniture and walls because of the fine dust this causes. Right now there is a layer of very fine brown dust on the walls near the boxes! My cats don't sneeze with this one but it's so dusty and my cats track this ALL OVER MY HOUSE. I switched back to a new brand of Clay Litter and although it weighs a TON the dust is much better and my cats barely track it. Sorry Naturally Fresh I have to clean more with your product. I gave it a Three Star because the odor absorption is the best.

  • Reduces Smell

    By on

This litter does not clump well and it tracks but I rated it a 3 for reducing litter smell. I started mixing it with my old litter like it said but have continued to do that because of the clumping not working well. I will continue to use it because it does keep the smell down. I wish it clumped good and didn't track. I have put down a mat outside the box but do not like having it because of where my letter box it located. Oh well no litter is perfect.

  • Changed my house for the better!

    By on

This litter is excellent! I was genuinely concerned about all the dust I was breathing in, not only every time I cleaned the litter pan, but also about the yucky layer of grey dust that covered every surface near the litter pan, no matter how much cleaning I did. I'm also certain that my whole family and I have eaten lots of "litter dust"! My sister told me about this product - natural walnut shell that clumps and has no dust. I have been using it now for two weeks, in my two cat household, and could not be happier at the positive changes! House is cleaner and I'm breathing a healthier sigh of relief!

  • Works Great

    By on

We were hesitant to switch to this product because I felt it may not have good odor control. It was actually the opposite, worked better to control odors better than anything else we have tried. It clumps well and we don't get that "stick to the bottom" problem anymore. Also, I find that we are changing the litter less which is actually saving us money in the long run. The cats seem to love it too, they took to it right away, didn't even need to mix their litter.

  • Good Stuff. Cats say so!

I have a cat with asthma and needed to find a very low residue cat litter. We had been using The World's Best Cat Litter that is made from corn. Thinking it could be possible for her to be allergic to corn, I decided to try something else. We tried Yesterday's News and it was not good for us. Wouldn't clump; just absorbed the cat urine and had to be changed completely every other day to avoid the smell of cat urine. YUCK. So next we tried the Walnut-based cat litter. It is really, really great. Our Vet had recommended it and he was right. It works like a good litter should, absorbs the urine with no smell, clumps so it can be cleaned easily and it doesn't track all over the place like the World's I have a cat with asthma and needed to find a very low residue cat litter. • This is pretty decent litter

    By on

BB - They're on the right track- but, my cats do track litter pieces all over the floor and I do have a rug down in front of the box. It does clump very well and holds down the odor - but I don't think it would last a month even tho' I have several boxes. I find it needs to be changed weekly. Still, it is natural and that I like and so do my boys.

  • As green as you can get...

    By on

It isn't easy to find litter that clumps, doesn't smell bad, is easy to deal with, and doesn't harm the environment. Blue Buffalo seems to fit that bill. Although the smell does take a day or so to get used to, it isn't offensive. We have found that for one of our cats it doesn't clump as well as it might - we're willing do deal with that. We have recommended this to several of our friends.
