Description

Blue Buffalo Naturally Fresh Quick-Clumping Cat Litter offers pet parents incredible odor control and long-lasting absorbency. It's so absorbent that one bag is equal to three bags of the leading clay litter. Made from a proprietary blend of the fibrous materials found in the walnut shell, this litter neutralizes litter box odors better than clay, pine and wheat. It produces harder clumps than pine, corn or wheat, making clean-up simple and mess-free. Unlike clay litters which throw off silica dust, Blue's Naturally Fresh is virtually dust-free so you and your cat can breathe easy. And because it doesn’t stick to your cat’s paws, it won’t be tracked throughout your house.

When I first got my cat my coworker gave me some of this cat litter since his cats wouldn't use it. My cat had no problem with it at all. I didn't know how great this stuff was until I tried other cat litters. It doesn't hid the smells is covers them completely. I never know if he has just gone to the bathroom or not which is great. It clumps very well and only uses what it needs to clump so it last forever. I also love that it's walnut shells. Very environmentally friendly! I recommend at least trying it once. I bet you'll never go back! It has a bit of an earlthy smell at first but that settles after a day. Way better then those terrible sents they put in other cat litter!

  • Works for Purrcy!

I've never had a cat before and wasn't sure what to order. We chose this litter because of it's "natural" components and we like the way it smells! It covers odor very well for our 1-cat home. Our cat does have white paws though, and the litter does track pretty badly. The brown is not staining, but it does get stuck on furry toes. We'll stick with this litter as we have for 1.5 years but be aware! This dust will track, no matter what batch you get.

  • Tracking hazard

    By on

The description says it doesn't track. My litterbox is in the laundry room and I have to take a broom with me and sweep my way through to even walk in there! It's horribly messy! Tracks beyond to several rooms past the laundry room. As far as odor control it doesn't do too bad, better than traditional clumping litters.

  • I was tired of machines and smells

Switched to this on a suggestion about odor after I got rid of the auto litter boxes I had been using. I have 1 cat and this is the best litter i have tried thus far. I have the big dome litter box, and all my odor problems went away. The poop doesnt really get buried even though she tries, it gets covered in the walnut shell and doesnt smell waiting to be scooped up. The pee clumps very well, comes out in one solid scoop. I dump it in the litter genie can and am thrilled with the results. On a side note, after experimenting with litter and food, Rachel Ray cat food combined with any clay litter creates a smell that will have you gagging. • Best Litter

    By on

It doesn't track out of litter box too much, really no dust, and keeps smell down. My only complaint is that occasionally I have to wipe the dark color off her paws but luckily not too often - it appears that an occasional bag gets too much of the dust in it but she doesn't seem to sneeze from it.

  • Great Idea! Formidable product!

    By on

I searched for an affordable, green, natural cat litter for over a year before purchase. I had more specific criteria than natural and green as my cat was asthmatic and I wanted minimal to no dust. I also wanted easier disposal. Commercial litters become so heavy after use and unruly not just for me but my garbage men must lift the trash container with a bag of litter waste too!I live in a wooded area and as this Naturally Fresh Walnut based litter is low odor and biodegradable I can save a plastic bag and a trash collector by depositing the litter in a designated outdoor space. It is working!

  • Totally sold on this stuff!

    By on

I've tried multiple other non-clay litters for my cat and have been exceptionally disappointed in all of them and thought I was stuck with clay litter. I found a great coupon for this product and decided to try it, but remained skeptical. It's amazing. No dust, good smell control, clumps well and legitimately lasts at least 3 times longer than anything else I've used. Never going back to clay litter.

  • Lasts longer

    By on

I find this product lasts longer than clay clumping products. It's lighter and sifts more thoroughly too. The clumps do not break apart as much therefore when sifting, you get most if not all of the clumps out. The only things I don't like are the little bits left behind from the cats paws. If stepped on, they do leave a small, light stain behind but since we are using pads on the floor (for an elder cat) this is not a problem. The odor control is excellent and the dust is less than clay products.

  • Odor Control is Great BUT

    By on

My 11 cats love this stuff in the 8 litter boxes I have . One time I tried a switch and some mistakes happened. Odor Control is the best I have ever had and I have tried many. BUT this has got to be the dustiest litter I have ever dealt with. It covers everything . I will just deal with the dust because it is the litter my cats prefer but if you have any kind of breathing problems beware

  • Great Litter Alternative to Clay Litter

    By on

I love this litter. My cat has been fully switched to this litter for 6 months now. I hated how traditional clay litters have so much dust. When I pour litter out there is a small amount of dust that kicks up, but it doesn't even compare to clay litter. I have always timed it, and the Blue Buffalo walnut litter lasts a lot longer than the previous brands I tried (tidy cats, fresh step, arm and hammer). It may be more expensive, but it makes up for it in lasting power and peace of mind that it is better for MY cat.
