Description

Blue Buffalo Naturally Fresh Quick-Clumping Cat Litter offers pet parents incredible odor control and long-lasting absorbency. It's so absorbent that one bag is equal to three bags of the leading clay litter. Made from a proprietary blend of the fibrous materials found in the walnut shell, this litter neutralizes litter box odors better than clay, pine and wheat. It produces harder clumps than pine, corn or wheat, making clean-up simple and mess-free. Unlike clay litters which throw off silica dust, Blue's Naturally Fresh is virtually dust-free so you and your cat can breathe easy. And because it doesn’t stick to your cat’s paws, it won’t be tracked throughout your house.

Blue Buffalo Naturally Fresh Walnut-Based Quick-Clumping Cat Litter is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 247.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from concerned about dust accumulation in my cat's fur I had hoped to use this product as a bridge from clumping clay litter to non-clumping walnut or paper litter, but it turned out that the dust produced by this product was so profuse and so magnetic that anywhere my cat lay down to rest, while he was exposed to this litter, ended up being colored orange. In other words, he was accumulating significant amounts of litter dust on his skin and fur, and I have to conclude that as he washed himself, he was ingesting this material. I love the idea of a non-clay clumping litter, but alas, this is not one that I consider safe for long-term use. Even if walnut shell is not toxic when ingested, walnut-shell dust is surely not a normal diet staple for cats. . .I will say, however, that I really, really like Blue's NON-CLUMPING (aka "pellet") walnut shell litter. . .It does not accumulate in my cat's fur. . .It does not seem to absorb odor as well as the paper byproduct litters do, but at least it seems relatively dust-free.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BLUE BUFFALO BROUGHT IT!!! I have used multiple types of litter for my peculiar kitties Olive & Tempered. Clay litters were so unsafe I had to make an informed change. There were so much hype about different types of alternatives to choose from. Some quoted to be the "Best" were actually the worst. They all claimed to clump... That's all Lies!!! Upon scooping the box the "clumps" of waste disintegrate, ultimately defeating the purpose of cleaning the litter box. I didn't even know Blue Buffalo made litter! Being that I only feed my girls Blue Buffalo brand foods, I took a chance with the litter when I saw it in the store. EUREKA!!! It works and clumping power is GREAT!!! Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, price & service I love this clumping litter because there is very little dust during scooping (I have asthma & allergies). The price can't be beat and it was here (3 bags) in no time. I "serve" a 10 year old rescue cat who adjusted immediately. Alexander the Great appreciates the product too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellant litter for diabetic cats I love this litter because it is easy to scoop up- and its not like sludge or mud and all the scraping with most popular litter brands. This was recommended when out at the pet supply store for my diabetic cat and I absolutely love it! Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No smell at all! I love this litter. I've used clay litters and corn litters before (16+ years of cat parenting) and this is the BEST litter I've found. Low tracking, absolutely no smell - it's enough tough to smell the odor of the box while you're scooping it! The only thing I've noticed, with my white footed cat is that there is some dust/color left on her paws that leaves a dark brown smudge - it's not permanent and comes right off after she runs around, or I wipe it off. Since it's walnut based, I don't worry about them licking their paws or getting the granules in between their pads. Great litter, awesome price, Love CHEWY!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nutty Cat Litter I purchased three large size bags of Blue Buffalo Naturally Fresh Walnut-Based Quick-Clumping Cat Litter as a first time buyer. My current brand is terribly dusty and it can't be good for either humans or pets. I think it is important to say that there doesn't seem to be any difference between this type, and the multi-cat litter, so save your self some money and get this type. I began by putting about eight to ten cups of walnut litter into the existing clay litter. The cats sniffed it, but took to it right away. It seems to clump just fine, and if there is any dust, it is not noticeable. Each time I scoop, I add a bit more product. I have two cats. The litter box is scooped at least twice a day, more often if I walk by and happen to notice a 'deposit.' There is a light, earthy odor, not at all unpleasant. The walnut bits work very well, and I really haven't noticed any unpleasant odors, though that might be due to the fact that I scoop frequently. At this point, I am extremely pleased with this product, and I bet my kitties are too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best litter I have ever used! I have read many of the reviews, and wonder if they are all even reviewing the same product. Several people say the dust is horrible and gets all over everything. Others say that there is no dust at all, which has been my experience. Is there a problem with standardization and quality control? Also some say it clumps poorly, while others like it's clumping qualities, and for me it forms the hardest and most durable clumps of any litter I have tried. I have even dropped clumps and had them stay totally intact! I have noticed almost no odor, although I do mix it with a small amount of crystal litter which I find dries the feces much quicker and eliminates odors. Overall this is the best litter I have ever tried, though I recommend mixing a few cups of crystal litter in with the Blue Buffalo walnut stuff. Happy scooping!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly, highly recommended I can't say enough good things about this product. I wanted to get away from clumping clay litters and tried various natural litters (corn, wheat, etc.#, but my cats would not use them. Someone recommended this one to me - she said it had granules similar to clumping clay litter and therefore cats were more inclined to use it. She was right, my cats used it right away. I love the natural, earthy smell of the walnut and there is minimal dust. Most importantly, it has superior odor control #natural# of any litters I've ever used. If there was one drawback, it's that the clumping strength varied from bag to bag #sometimes strong, sometimes not-so-strong#, however, due to the superior odor control, this is not an issue with me. Also, it lasts a long, long time #much longer than clay), therefore, making it very cost effective in the long run. Finally, the litter box washes up very easily and nicely with this litter, an added bonus!
