I have 4 cats and 2 litter boxes indoors, so I need a good litter. Trust me, this works. We have tried most of the Blue litters (pellet being the worst) but this one is probably the best. We get nice clumps, very easy to scoop. It hides the odor very well and isn't dusty (we had previously used Tidy Cats the red and yellow pail). This just looks better in the box (as its color camouflages number 2's if you haven't scooped yet) and works well. Plus it's biodegradable which makes clean up so much easier. I didn't give the full 5 stars because of the price, it seems a bit much for something made of walnut that will literally get pooped on. However, I can sometimes find in store coupons or find it on sale in store or Chewy has decent prices on it too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RemingtonSteele Best cat litter ever!
This is amazing kitty litter. 1 bag lasts a long time, since you use up very little in the clumping and disposal of this litter. Very little (if any) odor, and absolutely NO dust or residue. My kitty no longer gets those horrible eye and nose boogers! I'm thinking he was allergic to the old, dusty litter that I was using. I highly recommend this litter. You won't be sorry you changed. It's for the good of your fur-baby.

I have an asthmatic cat and this has significantly reduced the coughing and the wheezing after his visits to the litterbox.
Our other cats are using this litter also without issues.
I liked Pine (the most economical among natural litters), but had to stop buying it because of the asthmatic kitty. Wheat and corn litters are made from GMO crops and loaded with pesticides and we obviously don't want our cats to ingest those on daily basis.
Walnut passed the test in all categories - except it's expensive in stores. That is why we say "THANK YOU, CHEWY FOR SELLING IT AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE!" :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Shredbetty Very good natural litter
Like this very much. Low tracking, low dust, and vey good odor control. I have four cats, two large litter bins and clean them 2x daily. Clumps well. Kitties like it too. Use sweat scoop, which tracks quite far and let's out plenty of dust. This is a noticible improvement and good for the environment. Also biodegradable so the waste is less impactful. Chewy also has it for an amazing price without charging for shipping. Win win.

I love that it easily clumps, and even better for it's odor control!

Rated 3 out of 5 by RescuekittiesMom What a mess! I don't think I'll buy this again.
This product makes a mess. It creates a fine brown dust that gets everywhere, along with the tiny brown bits. I have had to sweep or vacuum every day since I bought it. On the positive side, the clumping makes it easier to clean the litter between total replacements. The non-clumping variety of Blue Buffalo walnut-shell-based litter didn't leave dust or make a mess at all, but it does need complete change-outs more often. I'm looking at other alternatives. I don't want to use clay because it's bad for cats' lungs, and I've read the wheat-based kind attracts bugs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by chappydl This litter is the best of all cat litters
This is the best cat litter ever. VERY little dust, I never can smell the litter box and it seems to last forever. I'll never use another litter again!

I purchased three large size bags of Blue Buffalo Naturally Fresh Walnut-Based Quick-Clumping Cat Litter as a first time buyer. My current brand is terribly dusty and it can't be good for either humans or pets. I think it is important to say that there doesn't seem to be any difference between this type, and the multi-cat litter, so save your self some money and get this type. I began by putting about eight to ten cups of walnut litter into the existing clay litter. The cats sniffed it, but took to it right away. It seems to clump just fine, and if there is any dust, it is not noticeable. Each time I scoop, I add a bit more product. I have two cats. The litter box is scooped at least twice a day, more often if I walk by and happen to notice a 'deposit.' There is a light, earthy odor, not at all unpleasant. The walnut bits work very well, and I really haven't noticed any unpleasant odors, though that might be due to the fact that I scoop frequently. At this point, I am extremely pleased with this product, and I bet my kitties are too!
