Description

Blue Buffalo Naturally Fresh Multi-Cat Quick-Clumping Cat Litter offers pet parents incredible odor control and long-lasting absorbency. It's so absorbent, it takes less litter to get the job done, which means each bag goes a lot farther and less is wasted. Made from a proprietary blend of the fibrous materials found in the walnut shell, this litter neutralizes litter box odors better than clay, pine and wheat. It produces harder clumps than pine, corn and wheat in as little as 15 minutes, making clean-up simple and mess-free. Unlike clay litters which throw off silica dust, Blue's Naturally Fresh is virtually dust-free so you and your cat can breathe easy. And because it doesn’t stick to your cat’s paws, it won’t be tracked throughout your house.

Blue Buffalo Naturally Fresh Walnut-Based Multi-Cat Quick-Clumping Cat Litter is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 444.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smaller footprint with same benefits... We have 4 indoor only boys - and we have tried everything under the sun in the way of litter for them. We are concerned about a smaller overall footprint, as well as receiving the same benefits of clay litter, without paying an arm and a leg. We tried the Naturally Fresh by Blue Buffalo - and oh my! What a difference! Not only is it biodegradable, there is virtually no dust, no odor, clumps fast - and the cats don't mind it one bit. It's amazing! And a decent price! We tried corn-based products, but they tend to over-fragrance it, and recently read an article about a mold situation in damp climates. I would have to say, the only downside is the tracking of this litter. But it's not bad. A large mat under the boxes tends to keep a handle on it. That and the fact that it's NOT tiny rocks of clay, and it's really okay with me! We love it and can't believe the clumping action! Excellent product and amazing price point! Thanks Blue Buffalo!! Rated 2 out of 5 by from Generally nice litter but doesn't clump well enough I was torn between giving this two stars or three. I love that it is biodegradable and won't turn into a slimy clay mess. It's almost dust free and doesn't have any disagreeable odor like the wheat and corn husk based litters. Yes, the cats DO track it out of the litter box on their paws, but I expect that of any cat litter. If your cats have paws, they're going to track litter out. No big deal. The biggest drawback, and the reason it only gets two stars and a negative recommendation, is that it just doesn't clump hard enough. When you shake the scooper to release the dry litter before dumping the clump, the clump often breaks up sending dirty litter back into the litter box. I've tried sifting very gently and I've tried letting the clump sit longer to dry. It doesn't matter. This litter just plain doesn't clump well. I'm disappointed because I've been looking for a reasonably priced biodegradable litter. I think the company just needs to add more of whatever they put in to make it clump.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Natural Litter We've used this litter for years. It generally clumps well, cuts down on odors, and is significantly less dusty than clay litter. There's no added scent in this formula, so fewer allergies for the cats and for us. We've tried many brands of litter (natural and traditional clay) and we always come back to this one. We have three cats who share one very large box and a 26lb bag lasts us about a month. The only time there's ever very noticeable odor is during the times when we push the limits on fully cleaning the box. We find that we can go 10-14 days between full changes (adding additional litter when it's low and doing spot cleans on the box itself as needed). The only problem with this litter is that while it's significantly less dusty than other brands, the dust that it does wind up settling around the litter area is dark brown. It's easy enough to clean up and I have found no litter within this price range that is entirely dust free. (Only that the lighter colored dust is not as noticeable.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is great!! Omg...this product is great! I have two cats(kittens)that are little over 2months old. When we got them there girls and twins at that they seemed to be potty trained but it turned out just my sister's cat was mine didn't like the letters I had for her(by the way mine is the oldest). So id been looking around to see what might work cuz my cat probably is potty trained but like I said she hated the litter so she refused to use it and then turn she pooped and peed it all over the floor in my room and in the bathroom right in front of her litter box! But once i got that litter and introduced her to it she loved it!! It was amazing she loved the smell and went and did her business right then and there!and whats even better is that she seemed eager to do it again the second and third time so wasn't just the fact that she needed to go but she actually wanted to go!so hopefully it means that shes gunna do it again in the future! i honestly just cant put into words how happy and thankful i am for this product and how many benefits it has!i am buying this product again!thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Litter I've Found I've been through many many litters in my lifetime of cats housing, and this is by far the best. I'm not partial to Blue as a brand, but they make a quality litter. It clumps great, doesn't stick to the pan and odor control is the best it can be for three cats. I have to try to be sniffing it out through the house to notice, and it's usually after a day. highly recommended, especially for multi cat houses, and it's super cheap compared to many other supposedly ideal multi cat litters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly Good Stuff I think this is great litter, definitely good clumping without sticking to the box. They suggest gradually switching from old litter to new. Just make sure you put the old brand on top, I didn't cuz it was easier to put the new type over what was already in the boxes. But it made the cats reluctant to try it, since it looks n smells different.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No odor and easy scoop This was the first litter I brought home on the recommendation of a friend. Walnut shells with some things to make it clump. I don't worry about dust for my kitty and I don't worry about the environment once it is disposed in the Cat Genie. No odor even when I get home from work. I will only buy this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It's a Good Concept..... However, it does not live up to its claims in actual use. I found that this litter is incredibly dusty.... and not your run-of-the-mill pale grey dust, but a dark, staining, powdery dust that rises in puffs during pouring and scooping. Not good for a fur-mom (and one of my 4 kitties) with asthma. The dust ended up on everything, and stained the cats' paws. Now I know why walnut shells have been used to make dye for centuries :-(. The clumping wasn't that great, either. Clumps tend to break apart some during removal, tainting the remaining litter. The odor control was okay, though not great. I went back to clay litter, trying a different brand, and it is the best I've found (Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Litter, which has less dust than I've ever seen in any other litter, clay or otherwise, and clumps HARD!). I have 4 deep plastic storage bins that I use as litter boxes, and I lightly spray the inside with plain cooking spray, then lightly wipe out before filling with litter. The thin film of spray helps to prevent clumps from sticking to the sides. It helps with any kind of litter. I also keep the litter about 4" deep, which will greatly improve any litters' ability to control odor and "stuck-on" clumps.
