Feeding Guidelines for Reproduction

Provide increasing amounts of food the latter half of gestation. This amount may be twice the normal intake. Feed to consumption during lactation. This amount may exceed three times the amount fed as maintenance.

Prior to weaning (3 to 6 weeks of age) provide ¼ to 1/3 cups of ORGANIX Chicken & Brown Rice Recipe equally divided in 3 to 4 meals daily. Food may be moistened with warm water to encourage consumption.

Transition Instructions

To help your cat adjust to a new diet, we recommend a gradual change. Slowly introduce ORGANIX by mixing it in with the current food over the course of 7 to 10 days, gradually increasing the amount of ORGANIX while decreasing the amount of your cat’s current diet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by This is a healthy product and I've been using it for over a year. It's good to have food not made in China and it's healthy. My cats love it. January 15, 2017
Rated 3 out of 5 by Only 1 out of 4 cats like it I was hoping my cats would like this organic food. They only get a little each day as I feed them mostly canned as it's better for them. But even the little bit of this I put out is usually left by 3 of the cats. December 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great ingredients My cat used to throw up all the time. I tried several of the popular brands and nothing helped. Since I switched her to Organix she no longer has this problem. It's the only food she will eat now. November 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good ingredients/highly digestible We have 3 cats and all took to this food very quickly. Our eldest has digestive issues (pancreatitis) and feeding him can be challenging. His energy, stomach and stools are all excellent on this diet. November 1, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Sophie would not eat it. Chewy has wonderful customer service and products. I will purchase again for both my cat and dog. August 19, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Crumbs, not whole pieces I was very disappointed when I opened the bag this morning and found that the cat food I'd bought from Chewy, which I'd previously ordered from another company, was more like the crumbs you find at the bottom of the bag than the whole pieces you find when you first open a bag. I dug down into the bag to see if maybe it was just that the bag had been upside down and the crumbs and flakes had just moved to the other end, as if the bag had been shipped or carried upside down, but that was not the case. It appeared to be crumbs in pretty much the whole bag. Very disappointed. I would send it back and ask for a refund, but it was hard enough bringing the food home on the bus. I don't have a car, and it would be too much trouble and cost too much to send it back to not be refunded for the cost of shipping. March 8, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very Happy with this Food I have read the ingredients and everything I can find about cat food and this really seems to be a superior food. There are other grain free foods with very similar ingredients and I tried three of them. My cats do not jump on any of them, but they are used to the corn filled stuff from another company. I am mixing this into their old food to get them acclimated to the taste of a healthy food and am switching them all to corn, soy and wheat free foods. The price is almost identical to the corn stuff so why not, and it's healthier. Cats need meat, not so-called protein from soy and corn. I am confident I will have less health issues with this food. The bites are small which I like also, easier for them to digest since cats do not really chew their food. Thank you. September 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth the Price! I put off buying Castor & Pollux for a while, since it was a bit more than the previous food I bought my cats (Taste of the Wild). However, I realized that my kitties were more than worth the difference in price, and the bags arrived at my doorstep shortly after. I still had some Taste of the Wild left, so I mixed it in the food container with the Castor & Pollux, and gave them some of each each time. The first bit in the bowls was TOTW; the second was C&P. The kitties, who had usually eaten their food so quickly, balked at the TOTW after they'd tried C&P. They'd look at the first bit of food (TOTW) as if it were something, well, not nice. They would wait until I put C&P in the bowl before beginning to eat. The cats are healthy and happy! February 21, 2014
