Rated 4 out of 5 by Good grain-free option My cat loves Castor & Pollux's Organix line, but was a little unsure about this grain-free recipe at first. However, after a feeding or two he caught on and now really enjoys it. I like that this food is chunked, so it's a little more natural texturally for a cat. It also has a nice thick gravy for added moisture, but there's not so much gravy that the food swimming in it. The main con with this food is the high amount of chicken liver (it's the third ingredient). I'm not sure how I feel about feeding a lot of offal as cats generally discard the internal organs of animals they catch (ours always have, anyway), and that leads me to wonder if organ meat is not a natural part of the feline diet. Also, peas are high up on the ingredient list as a protein source. However, I do appreciate the fact that the ingredients are organic and that it's grain-free, so I will probably keep this food in Jitters' regular food rotation. December 19, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Small like multivitamin. The smell is very strong. I guest the taste is bad because my cats do not like it . They smell it and they walk away. They do not touch the food. April 6, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love organic! My cat is VERY finicky and I can get him to eat this cat food. I wanted good, grain free organic food. He will only eat shredded wet and has to have gravy. I add water to make the gravy, works great. I just wish there were more proteins to choose from. March 2, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by The chicken isn't shredded. It's cubed. My cats don't like it. They won't eat it unless I mix it with their favorite food. The food I've been feeding them for over 3 years, went up over $5.00 per case of 12 2.8 oz. cans. That's a substantial hike all at one time, and I can no longer afford it. Now I have to try to find a less expensive alternative for them, and I'm quite disappointed in the Castor and Pollux shredded chicken. So are they. November 24, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Much more broth than chicken These small cans of Organix shredded chicken are irregular in contents. About half of the cans, so far, in the 24 pack that I purchased are mainly broth with a small spoonful or two of chicken pieces. This makes for a very pricey can of food. Perhaps quality control is lacking in the packing warehouse. January 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by My Kittens LOVE it! Previously I ordered Castor & Pollux Chicken & Chicken Liver Pate, but they weren't touching their food. This one actually has chicken pieces and they go crazy for it! I'll try other flavors but I know I can always come back to this one, if none of the others work out. November 14, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Our cat is ok with this product Our cat will eat some of this cat food, but I will continue to feed with his Royal Canin wet food to allow him to develope a taste for the chicken wet food. This is an excellent product, so will continue to feed him this food. March 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by My 2 cats love this! I want to feed them organic but they don't seem as enthusiastic about other organic food as they are about this. April 6, 2015
