Easy to wash; sturdy (my cat tried to open it the first couple of nights and he gave up - he's very strong); easy to program.
You can't schedule meals closer than 6 hours from each other. That means that when you schedule the first meal, it has to be 6 hours from that moment.
It has 5 trays, but the first one is always open, so it means you can schedule only for 4.
The instructions don't tell you that when you reach the last slot you have to manually back up the bowl lid to the beginning.
It's big. It takes a lot of space. Weird design. The timer should be maybe in the center.
I set it up for 3pm and 3am since these are the times when I am either at work or sleeping, and it helps to keep the cat happy. My cat has to be fed several meals during the day, so this is perfect for that, but it takes work. I always have to remember to set it up at least 6 hours in advance.
I only use it for 1 cat.
I feel like I spent too much money on this. It works, but it's not the best product ever. If I need to go out of town I would need a second one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by poar I really hate this feeder... :(
I really hate this feeder and how you have to set up. It's a pain to get it up and running, and not really worth the money. I was very hopeful because I have a clever cat who can find his way into anything, and this seems like it would be sturdy enough to keep him out, but it's really not worth the time and effort.

Great! It does what it says, well. The only thing I wish it was also electric.

Product review (star rating is for product):
The instruction isn't straight forward and it's hard to control the precision of the timer. My cat doesn't like it either.
Chewy review: I called chewy to initiate a return. This lovely lady I spoke with (forgot her name) said refund is going to my card but asked me to donate the feeder for a local shelter. You have no idea how happy i was to hear that. A+ for Chewy. Will def shop again

Rated 4 out of 5 by yshavit a bit unintuitive, but works well and is sturdy
Overall, a great buy for us. Our cats finally let us sleep in the morning!
We use this to feed the cats wet food, but only for overnight feedings -- we set it before bed to feed their breakfast, just so that the cats won't claw-slap us at 6:30am. For that, it works great. I can't speak to how much the freeze packs would do to keep food fresh for four days, but I'd be surprised if that works.
The setup is a bit more complex than some of the simpler feeders we were looking at, so you should actually read the instructions. Once you do, though, it's easy enough.
One of our cats doesn't care about it at all; the other thinks that if he only paws at it enough, he'll get food faster. So far it's held up without any problems.
I took off one star for it being unintuitive, but otherwise this delivers exactly what I'd have hoped for.

2)my cat has been unable to break into it
3) solved my issue of the cat waking me up early for her breakfast.
4)ice pack option for wet food (I freeze the wet food before hand so it helps stay cool, but I wouldn't leave wet food in there too long, even with the ice pack).
1) it's not digital. It took me a while to understand how it worked and set it.
2) you can't have feedings less than 6 hours apart (I have the 5-bowl feeder)
I feel like a digital timer, material that helps keep the food more insulated, and time increments less than 6 hours apart would make this product perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Vicki194 Helpful for cats that eat wet food
Agree with other reviews that the mechanism is a little confusing but if you read the directions it's easy enough. I went away for a long weekend and set up two of them for my geriatric cats - I actually tried freezing the food in the "later" compartments which seemed to work fine. I don't think the ice packs would be effective for four days.
You really only get 4 scheduled meals because the first is open when you give it to them. If you buy two you can have more small meals. Obviously.
