Catit Design Senses Drinking Fountain is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 119.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the one! This is a great fountain that is easy to clean and designed very well. Husband and I both noticed an increased intake of water for our kitties. This is a wonderful thing as cats tend not to drink enough and have more sensitive urinary systems... so they need plenty of fresh clean water everyday and this fountain is great for that. (Our vet says to never feed dry food as it dehydrates them). Our cat who loved to splash water ALL over when drinking out of a bowl/cup has quit that habit which we are quite happy about. We love that it comes with replaceable filters that soften hard water. It also helps remove dust and hair that settle in regular water bowls. We clean it often & replace the filters regularly and it has served us and our kitties well. We are very happy with this product and is one of the best purchases we have made. This and the SmartCat Ultimate Scratching post are tops! You know the price is right too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great for the price A lot of fountains at this price have barely ANY water storage. This fountain can contain a ton of water at a time which makes refilling it less of a bother. Other fountains for the same price you would have to refill every day but you can let this one go for like a week. It's a little hard to tell when you have to refill it and its not clear exactly what the "fill line" indicates (I think you're not supposed to go over?) Your only clue is the trickling noise of how far the gap is between the water pouring from the top to the storage. Also, my cat was pretty warey of this fountain at first. I let him go a couple days with it being his only source of water to give him initiative but I could see how other cats would be more stubborn or fearful and might get pretty dehydrated before they give it a try. I think my cat would have much preferred one of the fountains that pour in a stream into the bowl but this one is easier for me. All in all it has been a good buy for me so far. I just hope cleaning it out wont be too much trouble.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite cat fountain! Every automatic waterer I have ever purchased has eventually been garage saled or given away because I get tired of having to dump out all the water and take the whole thing apart to unclog or clean it and/or I get sick of the puddles around around them from frisky cats who play in water. This one is different - its bucket shape keeps it high enough off the ground to keep hair and fuzzies from drifting into it and to discourage playing. The filter is between the stored water and the drinking surface in such a way that it lifts out and takes all the dirt/hair that may have collected with it - no grids or prefilters or clogged passages to clean out, no water to dump. If I had to make one minor complaint, it's that the filter tends to float before it becomes waterlogged if the fountain is full, but if you stop to shove it down a couple times, it soon stays put. All but one cat love it and are very happy that they no longer have to share bowls with the spitty dog!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, simple fountain design FINALLY, there's a fountain that's easy to keep clean and that my cats love! I've tried various other fountains in the past and returned them all because of poor water circulation and/or my cats refusing to drink from them. The Catit Design Senses Water Fountain is perfect in every way: easy to set up, easy to refill, easy to clean... and my cats immediately loved it! Soon after the fountain was first set up, my male cat was fleeing from the dreaded vacuum cleaner - and stopped to drink from the Catit fountain before continuing his dramatic run! Now that's cat appeal! Kudos to Catit for designing a winner. FYI, I also read reviews of the Catit Design Senses Water Fountain on other websites before deciding to purchase and try this fountain. One common complaint I saw elsewhere was that the fountain could be easily disassembled by playful and/or curious cats because the top piece was free-floating. However, these fountains had a green interior, not a blue interior like the one offered here at Chewy.com. Catit apparently paid attention to the feedback and improved the fountain design with this blue model because that the top piece nicely clicks into place. So, stick with this newer blue model at Chewy.com and curious cat deconstruction won't be an issue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not what I expected, but the cats love it! I don't know what I expected with this product. More water motion? A stream of water shooting up like a fountain? I'm not really sure what I was expecting, I just know that I expected more than what this actually does. The movement of the water is very, very subtle. I thought to myself, there's no way this thing is going to entice my two cats to drink more water. But I'm happy to report that I was wrong! Both of my cats love it, and they're drinking more water than ever. So while the human isn't particularly impressed, the human apparently had unrealistic expectations. And the human's opinion, of course, matters a lot less than that of her Feline Overlords. The device is also quiet, more convenient than putting water in a bowl two or three times a day, and solidly constructed. It's a win in my house!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You can't go wrong! I bought this fountain for work, to keep the cats from drinking out of our toilet. (Yes, we had a problem with that!) It worked amazingly. I was really hesitant at first, between the really low price, the fact that it is plastic, and it is also quite tall. A couple of the cats (out of 6) didn't seem to like drinking from something so tall, but since, all have gotten used to it and love it! It is easy to take apart and reassemble, and the large capacity means that even our old cats who drink a lot don't drain the bowl every day. It doesn't collect calcium deposits like the other fountains I have used, either. I think this is because there is less standing water. The only issue I have experienced isn't necessarily a problem with the fountain itself. It can be hard to see when you need to add water. I have to constantly remind volunteers/other staff to check the water level, and show them where the fill line is, since it bubbles straight up the center. The pump recently burned out in one of my other, more expensive fountains at home, and I am deciding whether to replace the pump or replace the whole unit with this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We all really like it. I put this fountain out right away, cats a little unsure at first. I've had another fountain before and they liked it, but the water flowed differently. My older cats took to it within a day or so, my 7 month old kitten would sneak up on it. Now they all drink out of it with no problem. Removed the standard water dish. I love how easy it is to clean. Like that my cats are no longer playing in the water. Very quiet. I was a little concerned that the water did not flow all around, but the cats have no problem with it. The height is perfect for the cats, and I believe better from them too. I have 4 cats, I add water once in the middle of the week and then clean and change the water every week. Filter looked great. I say we are all like it as this includes my cats. Would recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best fountains I have ever had This fountain one of the best we have ever had - and we have tried almost all of them. Most had too little capacity, so I was refilling way too much. And most were hard to clean, but disgusting unless they were cleaned weekly. Then I ordered Catit. The first one didn't fit properly, causing spills and other problems. The nice folks at Chewy sent a replacement, and it is just about purrfect. I still refill in the mornings, but there is still quite a bit of water in there. I was called out of town for 48 hours and forgot to turn it off, but it was still bubbling (though a bit noisily), so kitties didn't get dehydrated. I do have a large crock of plain water and another fountain as a backup. I am thinking of ordering another as the backup is a pain to clean. All but one kitty will use this although I think he is coming around. He is shy and the others will knock him out of the way to use it.
