Rated 5 out of 5 by Magg Dave's 95% Turkey is 100% Approved
My cats already enjoy the 95% Beef formula and have loved it from the start. One of them was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor of the jaw and was finding it hard to eat. I began hunting for a grain-free and low-carb food that would be easy for him to tolerate.
That is when I found a Turkey flavor in the same Dave's 95% meat formula on Chewy.com. We tried it and it was a hit right out of the first can, not only with my afflicted boy, but with all of the kitties!
It has a texture like a very light and very, very moist souffle. I gave as is to the 3 healthy cats. I added even more water and mashed it into a very soupy and lump-free mix for the sick cat. All 4 cats could not get enough of it.
Guaranteed analysis: Protein (Min.): 12%; Fat (Min.): 6.0%; Moisture (Max.): 78%. Calories: 169 per can.
Top 3 ingredients are turkey, broth and liver. 95% meat. High protein, low fat, very low carbohydrates. Not quite grain-free ... ingredient list shows alfalfa meal, which does not thrill me. I live in hay and horse country, and alfalfa is fed to horses. But, if the formula is anywhere close to 95% meat, then there cannot be too much room for alfalfa. The other downside is flaxseed to provide omega 3 fatty acids. Vegetable omega 3 is not easily absorbed by dogs and cats, unlike the fish-sourced omega 3.
That being said, I feed this brand and flavor in rotation. So, I have no qualms about feeding it to any and all of my cats. And it has been a lifesaver for my sick boy. Thank you, Chewy and Dave!

Rated 3 out of 5 by JCL24 Slurry, but a good alternative
We're "experimenting" with various chicken-free can foods because one of our cats developed an allergy. The other cat will eat anything without adverse effects. So the allergic cat simply would not eat this, partly because of its runny consistency and perhaps because of taste. Don't know, he wouldn't say. Anyway, the other cat eats it but because he doesn't have to chew it it's all gone too fast and he acts hungry later. We trust Dave's, and the other can food we have bought has been excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jessicanj She likes it, she really likes it!!:)
This is the third flavor of Dave's Pet Food 95% Premium Meat Grain-Free cat food that I've gotten for my cat. I've gotten her chicken, salmon, and now turkey. She loves all three flavors. We have a winner!! I don't think they are selling the chicken anymore, but I like switching around her protein sources. I don't want her getting to used to one flavor, and I think it's better for her to have the different sources. From what I've read about Dave's pet food, it seems like a good, reliable company. I've read too many horror stories about pet food. I'm hoping this company keeps selling quality products.
As for the taste, I haven't tried it myself, but my cat gobbles it up. The texture does seem a bit more watery than other cat foods, but that is probably a good thing - cats get most of their water from their moist cat food. I highly recommend this brand.

by Kath62 I wish my cat liked it, because it's a good value
Who knows why any cat does anything? Certainly not I - this is the first time that Riley has flat out refused to eat something. My only thought is that he must not like the texture - it's a little less firm than his usual wet food. The food looks and smells as good as any other comparable grain free wet food - I suggest that you try it and see if your cat is more sensible than mine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by CityPets May be a good product, but my cats would rather starve.
I'm bummed about this one. It may be a great product--healthy and tasty--but both of my cats would rather starve than eat it. And one of my cats eats everything! I'm not sure what the issue is, and hate writing a bad review based on the finicky taste buds of felines, but it's not tasty according to Lily and Piedmont. :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by pzeirott All my cats love it
All 4 gobbled it up the first time I put it in their bowls. It doesn't have that canned food smelly smell. I really like that it's grain free and made in the u.s.a. Will continue to purchase as this has become a very good and healthy part of their daily diet. It satisfies the indoor as well as outdoor cats.

Thankfully I didn't buy a whole case of this. Four cans were all refused by all cats on different days.
No, just no.
So glad they love the grain free Tuna and Chicken.
