  • BBE - Best Bowl Ever!!

    By on

We had a problem with our new puppy eating too fast and getting sick (vomiting). We went online to Chewy and was amazed at the large selection of slow eating bowls. This one the price was great and is a heavy duty bowl. The first time we used it my puppy stopped getting sick and has not since. Another great purchase from Chewy

  • IT WORKS!

Breed: Chesapeake Bay Retriever Age: 9 months Medium bowl holds 2 cups kibble max I put the stats first because I researched for over two hours to try to figure out what size to get. My boy has always finished his food in less than 10 seconds with NEVER a crunching sound. One night Vlad the Inhaler had trouble breathing and coughed up a wad of dry, totally intact kibble so I had to do something. After researching I settled on this bowl. The first night, he was not happy. He tried to find a way to tip the bowl over to dump his food. No luck. Now he's taking a lot longer to finish and I ACTUALLY HEAR CRUNCHING SOUNDS! One reviewer posted the bowl gave his dog a rash - some dogs can't handle Breed: Chesapeake Bay Retriever Age: 9 months Medium bowl holds 2 cups kibble max I put the stats first because I researched for over two hours to try to figure out what size to get. It would be awesome if they made this brand in stainless. But overall I am happy! … more

  • Perfect for my 22 lb inhaler

My dog devoured her food in under 15 seconds. It was unbelievable and I feared she would get bloat or choke to death. This bowl is perfection. Slows her down just the right amount, now takes her several minutes to eat, same as my other dog. This is the 2nd bowl I tried. The other one slowed her down too much it took 20 or more minutes for her to eat from that one. This one doesn't allow her to slurp and inhale the food. The bowl is super heavy duty, sturdy, has rubber on the bottom so it doesn't slide and is physically heavy. Highly recommend!

  • Worked like a charm!

The slow feeder worked amazingly with my recently adopted basset hound. The size was exactly what I had pictured and the weight was quite useful. At first I thought it was a little heavy upon receiving my package but when I placed it on the floor for the first time, the weight kept it from moving around while my pup enjoyed his meal. Needless to say, Sam and I are extremely satisfied with our purchase!

  • Worked like a charm!

10 week old Lab pup devoured his 3/4 to 1 cup 3x daily feedings in 15-30 seconds then swallowed water like he had a funnel placed in his mouth. This resulted in burping and hiccups for the next 30 minutes. Ordered the medium size bowl thinking a large might provide too much space between the bowl insets and minimize the effectiveness and I'm happy to say, I think I was right doing so. First feeding with new bowl took 3 minutes to finish. Next feeding took 4-5 minutes and he actually stopped twice...once to drink (not gulp) some water and again just to walk away for a minute then came back to it. Bowl has more heft to it than I anticipated but it still slid a little bit on the tile floor 10 week old Lab pup devoured his 3/4 to 1 cup 3x daily feedings in 15-30 seconds then swallowed water like he had a funnel placed in his mouth. No doubt when he grows and feedings get larger and fewer I'll need to step up to the large size bowl but for the next 5-6 months this medium size bowl I'm sure will be perfect. Outstanding product, worked splendidly in my pups case. … more

  • Runs small

    By on

We got the medium size which they claim holds 20.2 ounces, but the 12 oz portion of kibble fills the bowl to the very top above the bits that slow down feeding. My pup can inhale the first half of his kibble. Good bowl, but order up a size for intended use.

  • This bowl exceeds expectations!

    By on

We recently adopted another shelter dog (we now have 3); she's about six years old, 60 pounds, and had been returned to the shelter twice. She eats voraciously, as if she is terrified someone is going to take her bowl away. She never even chewed her food, and we became worried about her ability to digest properly. This bowl is nothing short of amazing. I had read reviews about a metal bowl that came apart, flipped over, etc., but not this one. One-piece, durable, heavy enough to stay put, and it definitely slows down my speedy eater. I recommend it to anyone who has a dog who just will not slow down! And, I love the blue color!

Love this product. Immediately with first use stopped our puppy from gulping all his food like a vacuum. Great product and highly recommend to slow feeding.

  • English Bulldog approved

Professor would always inhale his food, not even taking the time to chew properly even with larger "bulldog" kibble. This led to bloat, lots of gas, and occasional choking. He would also try to steal my other dog's food because he finished so fast. With this bowl, he still tries to inhale, but it slows him down enough to start chewing. Now he and my other dog finish around the same time!

  • Anti Gulping Bowl

    By on

The anti gulping bowl has really helped with my dog's quick eating habits. He has a raw diet (cooked) and loves the food so much that he gulps it down and gets air in his little belly. This bowl has slowed him down and I would recommend to anyone who has the same situation.
